On Monday, 01-18-21, I posted Federalizing The Police: A Conspiracy Theory.  The topic was the possibility—probablity—the Harris Administration—Gropin’ Joe Biden is merely the bait in the most corrupt bait and switch scam in history—would want to federalize all of America’s police.  They would do this, I argued, because they know most of America’s police, and most of our military, are not politically reliable.  I called this a conspiracy theory because I knew I’d be accused of all manner of lunacy, sedition, insurrection, treason, and a variety of other seldom used words D/S/Cs have never heard—and can’t define–until someone approved for narrative dissemination uses them.

Within a short time of posting the original article, I discovered information that bore on that topic, and so updated the original.  Here’s one of the updates:

UPDATE, 01-18-21, 1520 MT:  You’re being ridiculous!  D/S/Cs aren’t that crazy!  Let’s visit Brietbart.com to see:

Democrat Rep. Steve Cohen (TN) on Monday suggested that white male service members could be a threat, based on his claim that most white men did not vote for Joe Biden. [skip]

According to a transcript, Cohen said:

‘I was reading about this on my Twitter account, I guess, and people were reminding people of Anwar Sadat and Indira Gandhi who were killed by their own people. I was thinking, the guard is 90 some odd percent, I believe, male.

Only about 20 percent of white males voted for Biden. You have got to figure that the guard, which is predominantly more conservative and I see that on my social media, and we know it, they are probably 25 percent of the people that are there protecting us who voted for Biden.

The other 75 percent are in the class that would be the large class of folks who might want to do something. And there were military people and police who took oath to defend the Constitution and to protect and defend who didn’t do it who were in the insurrection. So it does concern me. But the vetting at the last minute —‘

So Cohen is some crank wailing in the wilderness?  Sadly, he is very much the voice and intent of the D/S/C party, and when someone is telling you, explicitly or implicitly, they’re going to do you damage, it’s always a good idea not only to listen, but to prepare.  Here’s the other update to that original article, the first, actually:

UPDATE, 01-17-21, 2215 MT:  Newsmax.com, which CNN is trying to get deplatformed, reports:

U.S. defense officials say they are worried about an insider attack or other threat from service members involved in securing President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration, prompting the FBI to vet all of the 25,000 National Guard troops coming into Washington for the event.

The massive undertaking reflects the extraordinary security concerns that have gripped Washington following the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol by pro-Trump rioters. And it underscores fears that some of the very people assigned to protect the city over the next several days could present a threat to the incoming president and other VIPs in attendance.

In other words, our military is politically unreliable.  Apparently, the FBI is considered politically reliable.  They are going to need a great many more reliable enforcers.  Of course, if something were to happen, if there were some politically reliable people in uniform, what a perfect excuse to eliminate civil liberties…

And then there was this from American Military News:

Why would they want 2000 troops deputized?

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Marshals and their deputies may ‘carry firearms and may make arrests without warrant for any offense against the United States committed in their presence, or for any felony cognizable under the laws of the United States if they have reasonable grounds to believe that the person to be arrested has committed
or is committing such a felony.’

The DOJ states Marshals Service requests for special deputation and the use of a firearm requires they submit a written request to the U.S. Attorney providing the specific reason for deputation, the specifications of the weapons the special deputy may use, documentation of the special deputy’s current firearms proficiency qualification within six months, and an affidavit that the individual has read and agrees to comply with all applicable Department policies, rules, and regulations for the carrying of firearms.

What in the name of God is going on?  This is, to my knowledge, unprecedented.  On inauguration day—Wednesday, 01-20-21—there will be some 25,000 troops in our nation’s Capital, for a virtual inauguration!  The Capital is essentially empty.

The D/S/C Party has for years derided Donald Trump, screaming “walls don’t work!” and “walls are immoral!” and calling him everything from Hitler, to Stalin, to a mass murderer to a particularly dictatorial Nazi for erecting a wall to enforce our immigration laws, but have erected 12-foot walls (OK, fences) around the Capital grounds.  Apparently they work just fine and are the epitome of morality when they’re keeping those annoying, smelly, toothless, WalMart shopping Americans away from the Congress and Gropin’ Joe and our Presidentrix in waiting..

As I noted in the “conspiracy” article, use of American troops on American soil for law enforcement is a violation of the Posse Comitatus Act (18 USC 1385), which is wise indeed–the act, not its violation.  Those 2000 troops, no matter how dedicated and wise, have no idea of federal law, nor do they understand the civilian law of deadly force.  They won’t be carrying handguns, but their duty weapons, which are actual assault rifles, fully automatic rifles, and they surely have heavier firepower close at hand.  No sane person would do this; it’s a recipe for absolute disaster.  Even the most well intentioned troops—that’s virtually all of them—could easily make deadly mistakes.  Anyone thinking the paperwork about firearm qualification will be filed for everyone—or even one—of those 2000 troops within six months surely thinks Biden won honestly—they’re delusional.  Whoever signed the affidavit certifying the troops read, understood and agree with all of those policies and rules lied under oath, something at which D/S/Cs excel.

Do doubt, the mass deputization is a way of getting around the Posse Comitatus Act.  I’ll let legal talking heads argue about the legality of that, but what remains is the reason for the Posse Comitatus Act: the military is not trained or equipped for civilian law enforcement.  They are trained to employ overwhelming force and violence to destroy America’s enemies, which is the second issue: the military can be easily misused against Americans, which brings us back to Rep. Cohen.

Cohen—an old white guy–is arguably a self-hating bigot.  Most of our National Guard are men, and because most white men did not vote for Joe Biden—a wizened white guy–they must be racist, bigoted, you name it, hence they’re a deadly threat to Joe Biden.  This is of a piece with a long line of D/S/C functionaries who have been proclaiming our military the most deadly terrorist threat.

It is tempting to dismiss Cohen as just another D/S/C dimwit, but he’s a dimwit who, on January 20, will be in a position to impose his dimwittery on us all.  Here’s the real issue, gentle readers:  Upon induction into the US Military, which includes the National Guard, everyone swears this oath (or one in essence identical):

I,_____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the order of the officers appointed over me, according to the regulations and the uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God. (Title 10, USC)

Do you see the conflict, gentle readers?  Our military members, enlisted and officers alike, swear to support and defend the Constitution and the United States of America.  They do not swear to support and defend any political party or politician, other than the Commander in Chief. Him, they swear to obey.

This is what disturbs Rep. Cohen (obviously, he is profoundly disturbed in other ways).  Our troops are not politically reliable.  Oh, he and his comrades—and I use the term in the negative and murderous political sense—can be sure the troops will follow all lawful orders and protect the buildings and people in them they are assigned to protect.  But that, you see, is not nearly enough.

Don’t mess with Texas…

All our military members are also taught they may refuse to obey an illegal order.  However, they are also taught to immediately obey all orders, understanding they are likely not to know enough about what is going on to know when an order is illegal.  Yet they know enough to know they don’t want to shoot fellow Americans on American soil.  That’s not what they signed up for.

For politicians that honor their oaths to uphold and defend the Constitution, absent a specific and articulable concern about a specific military member, there should be no doubt they’re willing to honor their oaths, and are consequently no threat to them or to America.  But for those that see the Constitution as an annoying impediment to their political designs, that’s not nearly enough.  All troops have to be politically reliable.  They not only have to be willing to give their lives to protect those politicians, they have to be willing to take the lives of fellow Americans to enforce their policies.  To be sure of that, those troops must be absolutely politically reliable.  That’s what worries Cohen: because those Guard troops are Normal Americans, most of them can’t be politically reliable.  Dimwitted though he obviously is, Cohen is right about that.  They can and will support and defend the Constitution, which as I’ve already mentioned, is not nearly sufficient for the likes of Cohen.  They have other, higher loyalties.

If it has not yet occurred to every D/S/C, it soon will.  Every member of the Secret Service, and the FBI, and Homeland Security, and the CIA, and NSA, and Capital Police, and, and, and… must be politically reliable, at least to the extent they’re willing to look the other way when things Normal Americans must not be aware of until it’s too late are discussed, planned and executed.

Actually, nothing says unity and normality, nothing says confidence in a fair and untainted election, like suppressing speech about election integrity, destroying people’s lives, threatening to prosecute them, and holding an inauguration behind 12 foot barriers surrounded by tens of thousands of bored troops the self-imagined elite don’t trust.  We’ve become a scene from the Soviet Union.

Of course new administrations place people with the same political philosophies in their governments.  That’s normal in a time when every American supports the Constitution and the rule of law, but these are not normal times, and that’s not at all the same as being politically reliable.  The military occupation of DC is the kind of thing one sees in communist dictatorships, which may well be the point.  The self-imagined elite may be sending us a very specific message: we own you and there’s nothing you can do about it.

They’re certainly stupid enough to believe that–and more than stupid enough to act on it.

Rep. Cohen was merely the first D/S/C to let that particular cat out of the bag this year.  He won’t be the last, and Normal Americans aren’t going to like the result.

Just another crazy conspiracy theory?  I suspect we’ll know soon.
