Uh-oh. This story’s going to disappear fast:

report from the Daily Mail says the alleged gunman who killed five in Philadelphia on the eve of Independence Day was a cross-dresser who supported Black Lives Matter (BLM).

Breitbart News pointed to initial reports that four people were killed in the attack and four more injured. A total of six of the wounded and injured had been shot, the other injuries occurred while trying to escape the scene.

Everybody knows such people are intellectually and morally superior, so nothing to see here; move along, move along.  If you’re not NBC, reality tends to intrude on the narrative:

Several neighbors, who knew the suspect simply as ‘Kim,’ said they were stunned to learn of the alleged mass shooter’s identity, insisting he had never caused any problems in the neighborhood in the decade he lived there.

‘He never bothered anyone. We knew he was different, we see him dressed as a woman a few times but he never caused a problem,’ said Bernard Mason, 53.

‘We thought he was gay. We never saw him with anyone. We saw him dressed as a woman. That’s his thing. I have no problems with that.’

Guess mass murder was his–her? It’s?– “thing” too.

This must be the “normal” he promised:

A White House payroll and staffing review by the group OpenTheBooks found that the White House staff under Biden is the biggest and most expensive in history.

‘During President Joe Biden’s first three years, he spent $158.8 million on the largest White House payroll in American history, based on headcount. White House staff for FY2023 collectively cost $52,775,234,’ said the report from OpenTheBooks CEO Adam Andrzejewski.

‘No White House ever employed 500 staffers until Biden became president. The Biden White House employed 560 in FY2021 and 474 in FY2022. In 2023, the headcount increased by 50, to 524,’ he added.

Those are considerably higher than the staffs of former Presidents Donald Trump and Barack Obama. Trump, at this point of his presidency, had 108 less and Obama 70 fewer.

Not only did Trump operate with fewer aides, but so did former first lady Melania Trump. She averaged between five to 12 aides.

In the Biden East Wing, first lady Jill Biden’s staff count is at least 20 and rivals the sizable and much-criticized group that surrounded former first lady Michelle Obama. She had 24 assistants, said the report.

What’s more, Jill Biden’s office has more than doubled in size in the past year as she readies to step in more and more for her husband on the campaign trail.

Telling Americans how racist and awful they are takes a lot more people and costs a lot more than I thought.  Uh, does a podium have any moving parts?

Progress:

Worse than what?  Yesterday?  This morning?

Five minutes ago?

Wait a minute:

President Joe Biden doubled down on refusing to invite Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to pay a customary visit to the White House, despite the fact that Netanyahu was elected last year by the Israeli people.

Biden said in March that he would not invite Netanyahu to the White House because of the his government’s attempt to reform Israel’s powerful judiciary — reforms that largely parallel existing practice in the U.S.

Aren’t American Presidents supposed to be nice to our allies and mean to our enemies?  Or maybe Joe’s just expecting the Iranians to nuke Israel, so he won’t have to deal with Netanyahu anymore.

Maybe this guy left the coke in the White House…

…after snorting half the bag first.  But at least Joe’s not giving away national security secrets…

Oh.  Well, at least he’s not embarrassing us on the world stage…

Oh.  When you’ve lost—sort of—CNN:

This is just disturbing, but not surprising…

…and stupid.

She probably doesn’t know what a woman is, but AI?

Vice President Kamala Harris’ attempt to explain artificial intelligence (AI) to a group of labor and civil rights leaders on Wednesday instead became her latest word salad gaffe, something she’s become increasingly known for during her time in the role.

‘I think the first part of this issue that should be articulated is AI is kind of a fancy thing.  First of all, it’s two letters. It means artificial intelligence, but ultimately what it is, is it’s about machine learning.

And so, the machine is taught — and part of the issue here is what information is going into the machine that will then determine — and we can predict then, if we think about what information is going in, what then will be produced in terms of decisions and opinions that may be made through that process.

So to reduce it down to its most simple point, this is part of the issue that we have here is thinking about what is going into a decision, and then whether that decision is actually legitimate and reflective of the needs and the life experiences of all the people.’

Nope.  Not a clue about that either.  But surely she knows all about culture?

Oh.  Cackle warning:

Does that turn on Joy Behar too?

But their money is cool:

During an interview with Great Britain’s The Daily Telegraph, Nikcole Cunningham, a member of San Francisco’s 15-person African American Reparations Advisory Committee, launched into an epic tirade that was a spectacular blend of wokism, sexism, and racism.

‘Straight white men are abusive. Straight white men are serial killers,’ Cunningham told the news outlet. ‘They have the most — I watch these shows — the most serial killers. Straight white men are the ones who are shooting up schools, right?’

Well, when they’re not trans, maybe.  I think it’s a biiiiiit more complicated than just sticking one in there…

I absolutely trust our medical masters of the CDC:

The CDC made one of the most anti-science claims I’ve ever read under the ‘Health Equity Considerations’ section of its website.

Under ‘Infant and Young Child Feeding Toolkit,’ the CDC insists (emphasis mine):

Remember that:

*Transgender and nonbinary-gendered individuals may give birth and breastfeed or feed at the chest (chestfeed). The gender identity or expression of transgender individuals is different from their sex at birth. The gender identity of nonbinary-gendered individuals does not fit neatly into either man or woman.

*An individual does not need to have given birth to breastfeed or chestfeed.

*Some families may have other preferred terminology for how they feed their babies, such as nursing, chestfeeding, or bodyfeeding.

Of course.  Men can not only become pregnant and give birth, now they can “chestfeed” too.  I don’t want to even think about what part of the body babies can suck on to constitute “bodyfeeding.”  We can absolutely trust this “science” because the federal government says so.  We used to kid that other kids were odd because they’d been breastfed on falsies.  Never imagined it would come true.

This is completely normal behavior:

Of course, it’s The View, so…

Nope.  Not sending my kid to Brown university:

Think it’s something in the water?

Of course:

Former President Obama’s attorney general on Wednesday condemned a federal judge’s recent order limiting the Biden administration from communicating with social media companies as part of alleged government efforts to suppress First Amendment-protected free speech.

‘Well this is pretty stupid. And potentially dangerous,’ Eric Holder, who served as U.S. attorney general from 2009-2015, tweeted Wednesday.

Said the only Attorney General to date held in contempt of Congress.  But he’s right: nothing could be worse than preventing government from censoring every American.  Why, that threatens “our democracy!”

Do these idiots know the Constitution exists?

‘The Government faces irreparable harm with each day the injunction remains in effect,’ contends a July 6 motion from the Biden administration in response to federal Judge Terry Doughty’s preliminary injunction in Missouri v. Biden. Government lawyers argued that it may ‘prevent the Government from engaging in a vast range of lawful and responsible conduct,’ and therefore, a stay of the injunction ‘is in the public interest.’

Judge Doughty said “nah,” and some people just need to be harmed.

This had to leave a mark:

This must be the restoration of “normal” Joe Biden was promising:

RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Tyra Sanchez has reportedly been arrested again after protesting his prior arrest by allegedly wearing a strap-on dildo in public.

Sorry, no dildo pics—it’s in the evidence locker.

Get woke…

Once the top-selling beer in the U.S., Bud Light is no longer on the list of the country’s 10 most popular beers after it partnered with transgender activist and influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

Bud Light dropped from the ninth most popular beer last year to its current spot at 14, according to a new YouGov survey. It fell behind other brands like Pabst Blue Ribbon, Miller Genuine Draft and Miller Lite. Rounding out the top five most liked beers were Guinness, Heineken, Corona, Samuel Adams and Blue Moon.

It took years to reach #1, a week to piss it all away, and with Bud Light at #14 and sinking, they’re still continuing to insult their customers.

Every landlord’s dream:

Illinois will soon require landlords to rent and sell property to illegal aliens, opening the housing market to tens of thousands considered deportable from the United States, even as rents remain sky-high in metropolitan areas like Chicago.

Why does anyone still live in Illinois?

You don’t say:

Some people never learn:

After Campus Reform revealed that Brandies University in Massachusetts had published an ‘Oppressive Language List,’ asking students to avoid common terms like ‘ladies and gentlemen,’ the school has now removed the content from its website.

The list, which included phrases and terms like ‘policeman,’ ‘picnic,’ ‘people of color,’ ‘rule of thumb,’ was previously posted by the university’s Prevention, Advocacy and Resource Center (PARC).

The now-defunct list was overseen by students involved with the center, according to the archive of the web page.

‘Suggestions are brought forth by students who have been impacted by violence and students who have sought out advanced training for intervening in potentially violent situations,’ the website read.

I’m sure they removed it because it’s totally not stupid or anything.

Who coulda thunk it?

It’s [out-of-control crime and violence in NYC] progressive policy that makes them inevitable — if not at 49th Street and Broadway at 12:30 on a July morning, then somewhere else, at some other time.

And involving some other people — most often poor and not white.

All this is on Alvin Bragg. He needs to examine his conscience.

Ah, but that assumes he has a conscience.

This guy is high up in some church?!

credit: daily mail

But one leader in the Church of England has come to the conclusion that the Lord’s Prayer is ‘problematic,’ and I bet you can guess why.

‘The archbishop of York has suggested that opening words of the Lord’s Prayer, recited by Christians all over the world for 2,000 years, may be ‘problematic’ because of their patriarchal association,’ the Guardian reports.

‘I know the word ‘father’ is problematic for those whose experience of earthly fathers has been destructive and abusive, and for all of us who have laboured rather too much from an oppressively patriarchal grip on life,’ Stephen Cottrell said in his opening address to a meeting of the Church of England’s General Synod.

I guess Jesus was wrong about all that “our Father” stuff.  Apparently wearing funny hats damages the brain.

Say what?!

Employing the euphemism ‘affirmative action,’ President Biden’s press secretary claimed that there is a constitutional right to receive preferential treatment based on one’s race. She was discussing recent Supreme Court decisions on MSNBC with host Ari Melber, and made the extraordinary claim without citing any language in the Constitution – because of course there isn’t any to support her and, contrarily, language in the 14th Amendment that prohibits it.

Exactly.  Let’s see the text in the Constitution—hell, anything from the founding era–that supports that.

Groomers and pedophiles, every one:

The nation’s largest teachers’ union recently recommended that teachers include ‘Gender Queer’– and other highly controversial books– on their summer reading lists.

‘Gender Queer,’ in particular, was featured in the National Education Association’s (NEA’s) “Great Summer Reads for Educators!” list that showcased 11 books. It is almost impossible to describe “Gender Queer’s” text and illustrations, encompassing as they do everything from masturbation to bodily mutilation to gay blowjobs to Plato’s Symposium to bullet vibes to tasting one’s own vagina. All of this in a publication aimed at youngsters– and which the NEA has decided makes for the perfect beach read for its teachers. Hard to argue with that, right?

They are coming for our kids, and they’re not hiding it anymore.

Groomers and pedophiles, every one:

Left-wing media seethes over success of anti-child trafficking film Sound of Freedom

The movie tells the story of Tim Ballard, who started an organization to fight child sex trafficking.

Reports from left-wing news sites, Jezebel and the Guardian, have tried to discredit the hit release, Sound of Freedom, linking it with conspiracy theories. The movie tells the story of Tim Ballard, a man who started an organization to fight child sex trafficking. It stars Jim Caviezel, who acts the role of Ballard.

So, child trafficking is a good thing then?  Evil, and stupid.

I guess diversity really isn’t our strength:

Somehow I don’t think China is afraid of this…whatever…

Diversity is our strength. Except, apparently, the more diversity the military seeks, the less strength it requires.

That seems to be the lesson of the Army’s physical fitness standards, which do not apply to people who are getting “gender-affirming” care. [skip]

The military is going through a crisis with weight–since 2001 the number of soldiers who are classified as overweight has skyrocketed by over 400%, and much of that has to do with accommodating a more ‘diverse’ military. Women, Blacks, and Hispanics have higher rates of obesity in the military than Whites do, suggesting that the standards apply differently to different categories of people.

Hmmm.  And now we learn trans soldiers can waive any physical fitness requirement, which explains the Major—no, that photo isn’t a parody.  Our enemy’s soldiers don’t seem to have these issues.  I wonder why not?

Science!

Because…

As Portland struggles to manage crime and an increase in homelessness, city staff members are being told to adopt a more ‘culturally conscious’ vocabulary that includes not using words such as ‘women,’ ‘Caucasian’ or ‘citizen.’

The Office of Equity and Human Rights pushed an Inclusive Writing Guide in June as part of a “city-wide collaboration” to alter commonly used terms that they feel have evolved.

The guide suggested removing femininity from terms commonly used for women, including replacing ‘pregnant women’ with ‘pregnant people’ to be inclusive of those ‘who have this experience [pregnancy] but do not identify as women.’

Portland officials also advised staffers to ‘instead of women’s health rights, say reproductive rights, instead of feminine hygiene products, say menstrual products or period products, and instead of breastfeeding, say chest feeding.’

…Portland.  The public pays these people money for this?

In which alternate reality…

Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs has announced that adults will soon be able to access over-the-counter contraception at pharmacies statewide.

The Democratic governor announced the expanded access to birth control in a statement Thursday, continuing a series of actions she has taken in recent weeks to protect access to contraception and abortion. [skip]

The announcement comes amid a conservative effort to restrict and ban access to contraception and abortion nationwide.

… are “conservatives” trying to “restrict and ban access to contraception?”

But all the smart people assured me solar is the future:

The extent of the damage at a Scottsbluff solar farm that was heavily damaged in a hailstorm last week remains unknown.

‘They’re still working through that process,’ Grant Otten, spokesperson for the Nebraska Public Power District, which owns the solar farm, told Cowboy State Daily.

Cowboy State Daily reached out to Sol Systems, which financed and developed the project, but didn’t receive a response.

Yeah, who could have possibly imagined something like this could happen?

While some of the solar panels at the farm may be salvageable, as well as other equipment, it’s likely many of the panels will need to be discarded.

“Likely?!”  Have these people see the picture, perhaps visited the site?

Even if solar panels aren’t destroyed by weather events, they gradually stop producing much electricity and reach the end of their lives in 20 to 30 years.

It’s always safe to cut green projections in half.

So…

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., is taking aim at the Pentagon over its opposition to her bill that would combat sexual assault in the military by requiring service members to take monthly self-defense classes.

The bill, H.R. 1434, or the Stop Our Sexual Assault in the Military Act, comes as the annual number of sexual assaults in the military has increased. According to a 2021 Pentagon report, more than 4,000 assaults occurred in that year alone, an increase of 26% from the previous year.

…self-defense is BAD, because:…

In its response to the bill shared with Fox by Luna’s office, the Pentagon said the classes ‘could re-traumatize many victims of sexual assault,’ go against efforts to improve the treatment of victims of sexual assault by instilling that ‘burden of physical resistance’” and “would train potential or alleged perpetrators how to counter victim tactics.”

The Pentagon also said the classes could affect its ability to train young service members in the proper skills ‘to navigate and develop healthy relationships.’

…our military refuses to train troops in combat skills, but is all about “healthy relationships”?!

Peak stupid for this week:

Vagina rebranded as ‘bonus hole’ by cervical cancer charity

The terminology, which aims to avoid upsetting transgender men, has been accused of dehumanising women.

I can just imagine a new generation of porn movie titles.

Though this runs a close second:

Too stupid to survive.
