Irony abounds:

And now the Franklin County (KS) Sheriff’s Office goes and does this.

‘A career in law enforcement is exciting, and you get to experience something new every day. Sometimes you see things you can’t believe!’ the sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook over the weekend.

‘Yesterday, our deputies were notified of a possible intoxicated driver traveling northbound on Interstate 35. The vehicle was located and eventually pulled over. Deputies were surprised to see that the driver was wearing a beer can costume.’

‘Yes, you read that correctly. The driver was eventually placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and transported to the Franklin County Jail. As always, suspects are innocent until proven guilty.’

But was he trans?

Why oh why would Trump agree to do a townhall on CNN, of all networks? Doesn’t he know they’ll slaughter him?

Turns out Trump was smarter than all his never Trump critics, who ended up seeming rather, well, stupid.

Trump Derangement Syndrome will tend to do that to you.

Yup. This sums it up well:

Oh, the cadets are going to love this:

The United States Military Academy, known as West Point, announced Wednesday that Vice President Kamala Harris will become the first woman to deliver a commencement speech at an academy graduation ceremony on May 27.

‘We are honored to have the Vice President as our commencement speaker,’ Superintendent Army Lt. Gen. Steven W. Gilland said in a statement. ‘As an accomplished leader who has achieved significant milestones throughout her career, we look forward to her inspiring remarks to our cadets.’

If our military really believes Harris is “an accomplished leader,” that explains much. No kidding:

Get woke, go…

Disney+ subscriptions experienced a steep drop off during the first three months of 2023, with the woke streaming service losing a whopping 4 million customers globally. Overall, Disney’s streaming business continues to bleed money with no sign of profitability in sight.

Golly, I wonder why?

Disney leaders said last year that they expected Disney+ to reach profitability in 2023.  But given the subscription decline, that goal looks to be even further away.

As Breitbart News reported, Disney’s streaming business — which also includes Hulu — lost more than $1 billion in each of the two past quarters. Like other legacy Hollywood studios, Disney is betting the farm on streaming and has been spending a fortune to compete with Netflix and emerge dominant.

But once-faithful Disney customers are now turning away from the company as it continues to embrace woke identity politics — particularly, transgenderism, drag queens, and other types of gender non-conformity.

Oh. That’s gotta hurt. And speaking of going stupidly woke:

Love the bulge. Nothing to see here. Move along, move along…

They really, really think we’re stupid:

Biden said Tuesday the border situation will be ‘chaotic for a while’ as his administration works to restore order — but speaking with reporters the next day on the tarmac at the Westchester County Airport, Biden admitted there has been ‘chaos at the border for a number of years.’

‘Well, we’ve had chaos at the border for a number of years,’ the president said before boarding Air Force One in White Plains, New York. ‘We have to fully fund the border security effort.’

He added, ‘Look, the purpose of what we’re doing now is making legal immigration more streamlined, illegal immigration shorter term and moved — and moving in a direction that people know that there’s a legal way to get here and not legal way. That is what’s underway now.’

Oh, that’s what “border security” means. Thanks, Joe.

Wait a minute; isn’t this stuff illegal?

On Friday’s broadcast of CNN’s ‘The Lead,’ White House National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby criticized comparisons between the situation on the border and the withdrawal from Afghanistan and stated that ‘it’s not chaos down there at the border, at least not right now.’

Wait a minute. Didn’t Joe say it was chaos?

Kirby reacted to a clip of Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX) stating that the situation on the border is as chaotic as the withdrawal from Afghanistan by stating, ‘I think it’s just incorrigible to compare what we’re trying to do with safe and effective pathways coming in through the border to what happened with Afghanistan. It is not at all the same situation. And the footage that you just showed demonstrates that it’s not chaos down there at the border, at least not right now. We’re doing everything we can to strike a right balance here between providing legal pathways into the country but enforcement of our border laws, of our need to have a safe and secure border there, Jake.’

“Safe and effective pathways coming in through the border.” Thus spake our Baghdad Bob. Wasn’t the border supposed to be “closed” and “secure?”

The great uniter:

Biden gave the commencement address to the historically black college of Howard University on Saturday and turned on the pander up to “10” in his bid to win over his audience.

Biden discussed racism and said that hatred ‘never goes away’ and only ‘hides under the rocks.’  ‘A vivid demonstration when it comes to race in America, hope doesn’t travel alone. It’s shadowed by fear, by violence, and by hate,’ he said.

Biden said white supremacy is the most dangerous terrorist threat to the country. He said the battle against racism is ‘never really over,’ but enough people come together to stand up to choose ‘love over hate, unity over disunion, progress over retreat’ and against the ‘poison of white supremacy.’

As with racism, the demand for white supremacy greatly outstrips the supply. Under this administration, the demand for unity also greatly exceeds the supply. I’ve been alive nearly seven decades and have yet to meet an actual white supremacist.

So, he’s a brain dead reader of the same script too:

Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas said on MSNBC’s ‘The Sunday Show’ that a ‘rise in white supremacy’ was the United States’ greatest domestic terror threat.

Host Jonathan Capehart asked, ‘Today marks one year since white supremacists opened fire in a black neighborhood at the Top Supermarket in Buffalo. The president, yesterday at his commencement address for Howard University graduates, called white supremacy the major domestic terrorist threat in this country. Is that correct? ‘

Mayorkas said, ‘It tragically is. And the terrorism context, domestic violent extremism is our greatest threat right now. Individuals are driven to violence because of ideologies of hate, anti-government sentiment, false narratives, personal grievances. Regrettably, we have seen a rise in white supremacy. The principal under lying our work is that when one community is targeted, Jonathan, when one community is targeted, we as a country are targeted.’

Uh-huh. And where are these white supremacists exactly?

Spinning like an Iranian nuclear centrifuge:

Here are some revealing tweets by E Jean Carroll from about a decade ago:

Hmmmm.  Not sounding much like an innocent rape victim to me…

Stupid, and treasonous:

A new report backed by leaked emails and inside sources is shedding light on a shocking policy Joe Biden is pursuing in regard to China. According to Reuters, during the Chinese spy balloon fiasco that captivated the nation in early 2023, embattled Secretary of State Antony Blinken was actually seeking to protect the communists.

Of course he was.

When an alleged Chinese spy balloon traversed the United States in February, some U.S. officials were confident the incursion would galvanize the U.S. bureaucracy to push forward a slate of actions to counter China.

Instead, the U.S. State Department held back human rights-related sanctions, export controls and other sensitive actions to try to limit damage to the U.S.-China relationship, according to four sources with direct knowledge of U.S. policy, as well as internal emails seen by Reuters.

(…)

Rick Waters, deputy assistant secretary of State for China and Taiwan who leads the China House policy division, said in a Feb. 6 email to staff that has not been previously reported: “Guidance from S (Secretary of State) is to push non-balloon actions to the right so we can focus on symmetric and calibrated response. We can revisit other actions in a few weeks.”

The sources said many measures have yet to be revived. The decision to postpone export licensing rules for telecom equipment maker Huawei and sanctions against Chinese officials for abuses of Uyghurs, has damaged morale at China House, they said.

In other words, instead of punishing China for its insanely provocative violation of US airspace and sovereignty, Blinken had his lackeys pause major human rights and trade measures. That included already planned actions to sanction Chinese tech companies like Huawei and to combat China’s genocide of the Uyghurs.

It’s worse. Take the link and read the whole thing.

Well, that’s a new one:

Cleopatra was ‘culturally black,’ according to a recent New York Times piece facing accusations of ‘blackwashing’ history after proposing the ‘plain weird’ rationale for Netflix’s casting of a black-skinned Cleopatra despite being of Macedonian Greek descent.

I’ve played the blues, soul, rhythm and blues and jazz. Can I be “culturally black” too? What does actual history have to say?

So, depicting historical figures with the wrong race really doesn’t work out so well?

Netflix’s ‘docudrama’ Queen Cleopatra launched two weeks ago and now looks to have earned the unenviable plaudit of drawing the worst audience score in TV history.

Forbes magazine reports the controversial production has not just garnered the lowest audience score in Netflix history on debut, it has essentially the lowest audience score possible on Rotten Tomatoes at one percent.

But black, because black, and diversity and systemic racism and stuff.

‘Cleopatra VII was white—of Macedonian descent, as were all of the Ptolemy rulers, who lived in Egypt,’ Kathryn Bard, professor of archaeology and classical studies at Boston University, said as Newsweek reported, according to the outlet.

Damn that accurate history!

So let me see: we’re going all electric with everything, but…

So all electric, but no electricity…

I’m sure the self-imagined elite know best…

Yep. Colorado has gone over the edge.

Colorado’s top public university says that people should address new acquaintances as transgender until otherwise instructed and that ignoring someone’s pronouns is ‘an act of violence.’

I got yer “act of violence” right here, snowflake.

The best and brightest

Democratic California Sen. Dianne Feinstein returned to the Senate in an allegedly confused state Wednesday as she entered the Capitol in a wheelchair.

The 89-year-old lawmaker was absent from the Senate for over two months due to complications from her shingles diagnosis. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer greeted Feinstein outside the Senate chamber, where she trembled and appeared confused, the Huffington Post reported.

‘Where am I going?’ she asked, according to the outlet. ‘I’ve got something in my eye.’

And more:

Dianne Feinstein claimed she hasn’t ‘been gone’ when asked about her lengthy absence from the Senate: ‘No, I’ve been here. I’ve been voting’

Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California insisted that she had not been absent from the Senate when asked about it by reporters on Tuesday, according to Slate and the Los Angeles Times.

‘No, I haven’t been gone,’ she told the Times’ Ben Oreskes on Tuesday when asked how her Senate colleagues have responded to her return. ‘You should follow the — I haven’t been gone, I’ve been working.’

Oreskes then asked her whether she had been working from home. ‘No, I’ve been here. I’ve been voting,’ she said. ‘Please, you either know or don’t know.’

Exactly, and she doesn’t. As usual, The Babylon Bee got it right:

Harsh, but accurate. The brain damaged senator from PA also displayed his abilities (take the link to hear it):

Here’s the quote:

The Republicans want to give a work requirement for SNAP, for uh, uh, uh a hungry family has to have these, this kind of penalties, or these some kinds of wo- working requirements, shouldn’t you have a working requirement after we say ‘oh your bank, with billions of your bank?’ Because they seem to be more preoccupied when then SNAP and requirements for works, for hungry people but not about protecting the ta- the tax papers you know that will bail no matter whatever does about a bank to crash it.

As Donald Trump recently said, our country is being destroyed by really stupid people.

Now she says it:

Prior to the tip, Griner and her teammates stood for the national anthem, and the No. 1 pick of the 2013 WNBA Draft received a loud ovation from the home crowd as she was introduced.

‘Hearing the national anthem, it definitely hit different,’ Griner said. ‘It’s like when you go for the Olympics, you’re sitting there, about to get gold put on your neck, the flags are going up, and the anthem is playing, it just hits different.’

Amazing how time in a Russian prison alters one’s perspective. Heinlein said it best:

The United States has become a place where entertainers and professional athletes are mistaken for people of importance.

If we can’t pack the Supreme Court, we’ll ignore it, or stage a coup, maybe kill them…

Gun control proponent Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) is hinting that there could be a ‘popular revolt’ if the Supreme Court of the United State strikes down “assault weapons” bans or other favored Democrat gun laws.

Murphy said Sunday on NBC’s Meet the Press, ‘If the Supreme Court eventually says that states or the Congress can’t pass universal background checks or can’t take these assault weapons off the streets, I think there’s going to be a popular revolt over that policy,’ Politico noted.

He added, ‘A court that’s already pretty illegitimate, is going to be in full crisis mode.’

Hmmm. Sounds an awful lot like insurrection talk to me.  Didn’t this idiot take an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution?

Like Trump said, really stupid people:

More stupid, and evil, people:

The Japanese are really pissed at this guy for telling them what to do, but are too polite to cut his head off:

That’s Rahm Emanuel, the ambassador to Japan, a D/S/C lunatic telling the Japanese what to do. It’s a wonder Japan hasn’t attacked Pearl Harbor again.

Everything is about race with this guy:

Former President Barack Obama is urging Americans to have a dialogue about gun violence as the U.S. recently surpassed 200 mass shootings so far this year, according to CBS News data.

Obama discussed the challenges of reducing gun violence and how gun ownership has become an ‘ideological’ and ‘partisan’ issue during an exclusive sit-down interview with “CBS Mornings” co-host Nate Burleson. The full interview will air on Tuesday, May 16.

‘I think somehow — and there are a lot of historical reasons for this — gun ownership in this country became an ideological issue, and a partisan issue, in ways that it shouldn’t be,’ Obama told Burleson. ‘It has become sort of a proxy for arguments about our culture wars, you know? Urban versus rural. Race is always an element in these issues. Issues of class and education, and so forth.’

Gee, thanks for clearing that up, former race-hustler-in-chief!  Note: Obama is surrounded by armed security 24/7/365, all of whom are surely racists. Instapundit comments:

What he means by this is that his divisive and partisan efforts backfired and now he’s sad to be on the losing side.

First comment on the story: ‘According to Everytown the state with the strongest gun laws is CA and they’ve had 16 mass shootings so far this year according to the Gun Violence Archive data. The state with the highest firearms per capita is Wyoming and they have had 0 mass shooting so far this year. The state with highest gun ownership rate is Montana and they have had zero mass shootings so far this year. California’s gun ownership rate of 28% is almost a third of that of Montana but they have had had 16 mass shootings. According to Everytown stats with respect to gun related violence in Montana and Wyoming; 84% of gun related deaths are suicides in Montana and 86% in Wyoming. 11% of gun related deaths are homicides in Montana and 10% in Wyoming. In California, 45% of gun related deaths are homicides.’

OK, groomers:

YouTube ‘temporarily suspended’ MRCTV’s channel Wednesday due to a ‘Community Guidelines’ violation, according to a notice sent to MRCTV. The banned video featured commentary from MRCTV Managing Editor Brittany Hughes on the dangers of pushing leftist gender ideology and transgenderism on children and how they could lead to sexual abuse.

The video — headlined ‘Pushing Gender Confusion and Drag on Kids Isn’t the Left’s Goal. The Endgame Is Far Worse’ — slammed a whacko USA Today article from January 2022 that claimed pedophilia is ‘among the most misunderstood’ sexual disorders. Hughes mocked the article, saying, ‘We are misunderstanding pedophiles, y’all.’

Misunderstood? Nah. The problem for D/S/Cs is Normal Americans understand pedophiles all too well.

What about all that “neither rain nor snow nor dark of night…” stuff?

Some south Seattle residents are claiming a significant ‘mail fail’ is occurring as the United States Postal Service (USPS) has halted mail delivery due to a rise in recent vandalism and theft.

A sign at a nearby U.S. Postal Service office in Columbia City is telling residents in the ‘98118’ zip code to pick up their mail in person at an annex office, located at 5920 Martin Luther King Jr Way South. The zip code covers around 49,000 people — but it’s unclear how many of them are not getting their mail delivered.

So what’s the deal?

When questioned about any thefts of mailbox master keys in that area, USPS Inspection Service spokesperson John Wiegand said there are active investigations, but declined to provide details.

‘Property crime has been on the rise in the Seattle area, in the Northwest, and kind of across the country — and mail theft is unfortunately one of those areas that have been targeted significantly with that uptick in crime,’ Wiegand said.

Oh. Seattle. Right.

The wages of stupid:

The left hand not giving a rat’s ass what the right is doing:

On May 4, members of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission delivered stark warnings to the members of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. The agency’s acting chairman, Willie Phillips, told the senators, ‘We face unprecedented challenges to the reliability of our nation’s electric system.’

FERC Commissioner Mark Christie echoed Phillips’ warning, saying the U.S. electric grid is ‘heading for a very catastrophic situation in terms of reliability.’ His colleague, Commissioner James Danly, averred that there is a ‘looming reliability crisis in our electricity markets.’

The commissioners pointed to several factors for the reliability crisis, including numerous coal plants that are being retired prematurely, insufficient pipeline capacity to assure natural gas can be delivered to power plants, insufficient high-voltage transmission capacity, and distortions in the electricity market caused by massive federal subsidies for weather-dependent renewables.

Oh, so that’s why the EPA wants to shut down most of our power-producing plants!

Fifty percent? I thought it was 90%?

It is ‘extraordinary’ but not in the way he means. Illegal entry has hit record heights this week, with more than 10,000 people a day entering (that they know about, that doesn’t count the “gotaways”). Not even all members of his own party are buying what he’s saying, as border Democrat Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) said that they had two years to plan for the expiration of Title 42, ‘but their efforts have fallen short.’

Waaaaaaay short.

She went out with a bang?

At least 26 people were shot, four of them fatally, during Lori Lightfoot’s (D) last weekend as Mayor of Chicago.

Breitbart News reported at least 14 people were shot in Chicago, three of them fatally, Friday into Saturday night alone.

She’ll be missed—by crooks.

As Margaret Thatcher said: “The trouble with socialism is you always run out of other people’s money.”

The vote was about honoring police officers killed in the line of duty:

Because they’re soulless Communists?

Still waiting for video of one of them giving birth…

Overall policing quality may be declining, but not so much this got by them:

A DUI suspect in Colorado tried unsuccessfully to pin the rap on his dog, according to police in eastern Colorado.

Cops in Springfield, Colo., wrote on Facebook that the attempted switcheroo happened around 11:30 p.m. Saturday when officers pulled over a vehicle driving 52 mph in a 30 mph zone.

‘The driver attempted to switch places with his dog who was in the passenger seat, as the SPD officer approached and watched the entire process,’ law enforcement officials said Sunday. ‘The male party then exited the passenger side of the vehicle and claimed he was not driving.’

Ditch the cops! Drive home; good boy!

Maybe we ought to pay attention to this:

Definitely not stupid, but as for the rest, too stupid to survive.
