Democrats are very good at rhetoric, particularly rhetoric that backs members of The Stupid Party into a corner, leaving them no good choice, only bad and worse choices. No matter what they do, they’re going to be brutalized by the Democrat’s wholly owned propaganda subsidiary, the Media. The most recent example is the Left’s hysteria over the mere possibility that President Trump might fire the corrupt and lawless special prosecutor, Robert Mueller, as Fox News reports:

Obama officials and liberal activists already are calling for organized protests to defend the ‘Republic’ if President Trump fires Special Counsel Robert Mueller — even though the commander-in-chief says he has no plans to do so.

Would this be the republic Democrats have labored mightily to diminish and destroy, particularly over the last eight years? The Republic established in the Constitution they regard as nothing more than an antiquated impediment to their desires? This new-found devotion to the Constitution is rather like the Democrat’s new-found concern about the National debt after the Obama Era of raising it to previously unimaginable levels. The backdrop for this faux-outrage are the continuing revelations of rampant anti-Trump hatred and bias by many members of the Democrat All-Star team Mueller has hired to persecute President Trump and everyone associated with him.

But the burst of warnings about a Mueller firing — which Trump denies — stems in part from an unconfirmed rumor. Democratic California Rep. Jackie Speier claimed Friday that ‘the rumor on the Hill’ was Trump would fire Mueller at the end of this week, after lawmakers leave D.C. for the recess.

‘It would be a Saturday massacre – worse than that,’ Speier said on KQED Newsroom. ‘Without a doubt there will be an impeachment effort.

“A Saturday massacre”—except it isn’t, because it hasn’t happened and likely won’t, and Democrats have been trying to impeach Donald Trump since before he took the oath of office. Things would only change if Democrats weren’t trying to impeach him. Now let’s here from the most trusted public servant in American history, the man who lied, sold guns to Mexican drug dealers, tried to destroy the Constitution, and was held in contempt of Congress, Eric Holder.

Speaking on behalf of the vast majority of the American people, Republicans in Congress be forewarned: any attempt to remove Bob Mueller will not be tolerated. These are BS attacks on him/his staff that are blatantly political–designed to hide the real wrongdoing. Country not party,’ Holder tweeted last Thursday.

“Country, not party?!” From Eric Holder?! Holder is speaking for “the vast majority of the American people”? The world has truly gone mad.

ABSOLUTE RED LINE: the firing of Bob Mueller or crippling the special counsel’s office. If removed or meaningfully tampered with, there must be mass, popular, peaceful support of both. The American people must be seen and heard – they will ultimately be determinative,” Holder tweeted on Sunday.

I wonder if Holder realized he said protestors must support “the firing of Bob Mueller or crippling the special counsel’s office”? I suspect a great many Americans might actually follow Holder’s lead on that.

Former White House ethics lawyer and director of the Office of Government Ethics Walter Shaub also said he is preparing to ‘take the streets.’

‘This weekend I’m stocking up on portable phone chargers, warm clothes, & gear needed for when we take the streets. I’m concerned the assault on the rule of law is coming over the holidays when we’re distracted. It will be a defining moment for the Republic,’ Shaub tweeted Friday.

And would this supposed “assault on the rule of law” be something like eight years of Democrats releasing unpopular, embarrassing, and unlawful developments late Friday afternoons and over holidays? Oh, and how is the rule of law damaged by a President taking actions reserved only for him under the Constitution? A small point, I know.

Make a plan folks. Be ready to take the streets. This is an attack on our Republic,’ Shaub added, while also citing a GOP lawmaker calling for Mueller’s firing.

Shaub tweeted that he had registered for a ‘rapid response protest’ already being planned by MoveOn.org in the event of a Mueller firing. The event, ‘Nobody is above the Law II – Mueller Firing Rapid Response,’ is one of two Mueller-firing protests planned by the liberal advocacy group. A date is not set, but the group’s website said it ‘will be updated to be within 24 hours of the firing, should it occur.

With the exception that firing Mueller would not be a violation, or even an abuse, of any law, it sounds like Shaub’s plan is about as futile as they come. It’s doubtful many will turn out in case of bad weather, which tends to significantly dampen such noble, Constitution-based protests.  Oh, and once these revolutionary twerps “take the streets,” what are they going to do with them?  It’s rather like a dog chasing a car.  When they catch it, what then?

But when asked Sunday if he planned to fire Mueller, the president said ‘no.’

‘No, I don’t,’ Trump told reporters when he returned from his presidential retreat to Camp David.

Trump’s legal counsel Ty Cobb said Saturday that ‘Mueller will not be fired.

That sounds pretty definitive, so what’s going on? Is this just another case of progressives acting on emotion, on what they want the world to be rather than what it is? There’s always that element in their thinking and actions, but this is merely another page from their standard book of socialist tactics.

By threatening all manner of “mass, popular, peaceful support” if President Trump exercises his legitimate, lawful authority in firing Robert Mueller, and if necessary, everyone Mueller has hired, progressives are hoping Mr. Trump won’t do it. They want Mueller to continue and to be as lawless as is required to get Trump, and everyone associated with him. Failing that, they want Mueller to dog the President every day he’s in office. They don’t want justice, they want a perpetual political bludgeon with which to beat Mr. Trump over the head. If Mr. Trump did fire Mueller, Progressives have already laid out their game plan.

Progressives see this as win/win. If Mr. Trump doesn’t fire Mueller, they have an endless opportunity to scream “Russia,” and “Collusion, and to keep bringing up impeachment resolutions. Their wholly owned propaganda arm, the Media, will, as always, relentlessly attack Mr. Trump, truth not only optional, but all but unrecognizable. If Mr. Trump does fire Mueller, the Democrat Apocalypse/Armageddon rhetoric meter will peg at “11,” even more impeachment resolutions will be introduced, and the Media will reach a new level of fake news, spittle flinging, red-faced screeching. Same old, same old, just louder, and the ultimate goal never changes: getting rid of Trump and establishing permanent socialist rule.
