I’ve always relied on the kindness of marxists…

In the immortal words of Captain Malcolm Reynolds in “Serenity”: “I aim to misbehave.” If you seek political correctness, do not continue to read.

In June of 2014, I wrote Pardon Me, an article about the law relating to presidential pardons, and Mr. Obama’s then current pardons of less than savory criminals. Toward the end, I wrote:

Unlike the American people and our allies, Barack Obama and his functionaries have little to fear. Mr. Obama has a golf bag full of pardons, and he will not be afraid to use them.

In August of 2016, with Mr. Obama on American record pace for pardoning and commuting the sentences of violent drug criminals, I wrote Pardon The Worst:

It appears that these commutations are primarily an effort by Mr. Obama to wipe away federal drug laws, laws he has been unable to erase by legislative means. We know this because most of these people are not convicted of random crimes, but of a small class of drug offenses. Be aware that if these felons were serving life sentences–and many of them were–they were not merely hapless, lower level street criminals put in jail for possession of small amounts of drugs or smoking a joint. These were among the most dangerous, violent, experienced drug criminals in circulation. They were not victims of excessive, unreasonable sentences. They deserved far, far more punishment. Many people, including Mr. Obama, forget or refuse to recognize one of the most important functions of prison, as he has done when he recently observed that it costs $80 billion a year to incarcerate so many criminals. The greatest value of prisons is not rehabilitation, but separation; while incarcerated, the worst criminals among us, true psychopaths and sociopaths, are not committing crimes. They’re not making more victims. Allowing such monsters to roam free among us costs far more, financially, than the pocket change–to him–amount that so faux-concerns Mr. Obama. The cost in rape, torture, injury, maiming, and death is incalculable.

If you’d like to be informed about the realities of presidential pardons, and want to find out just who the people Mr. Obama is releasing back into society are—hint: they’re not small-time marijuana users—take the two previous links. However, the subject of this politically incorrect missive is never-too-soon-to-be-former-President Obama’s commutation of the sentence of progressive pajama boy/faux-woman, traitor Bradley/Chelsea Manning, the U.S. Army soldier that betrayed his/it’s country by leaking tens of thousands of classified documents to Wikileaks. Manning is being released nearly three decades early. Just to set the record straight, Manning embraces gender dysphoria—the term the politically correct would like me to use is “trans”—which is recognized by psychology as mental illness. Under the Obama Administration, while serving his 35-year sentence in Leavenworth, he has been allowed to behave and dress as a woman, and has been given hormone therapy. He had even been promised gender reassignment surgery at taxpayer expense. Never mind the Army Medical Corps has no experience at such things, inexplicably spending its time and expertise on treating battlefield wounds and related illnesses. One can only hope Mr. Trump will put an end to that insanity before Manning is released in May. It would no doubt be necessary to send Manning to Trinidad, CO, or perhaps Europe, for that kind of procedure.

The usual suspects—progressive fellow travelers all—are delighted. The New York Times is representative:

The decision by Mr. Obama rescued Ms. Manning, who twice tried to kill herself last year, from an uncertain future as a transgender woman incarcerated at the men’s military prison at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. She has been jailed for nearly seven years, and her 35-year sentence was by far the longest punishment ever imposed in the United States for a leak conviction.

Ah yes. Mr. Obama “rescued” Manning from “an uncertain future.” Thank goodness he rescued a man (or whatever) who betrayed America and cost the deaths of innumerable of our allies, covert operatives and soldiers. After the documents Manning leaked appeared in public, the Taliban in Afghanistan and elsewhere, went on a murder rampage killing anyone that might have been involved in helping America. If Wikileaks spoke of someone with short, black hair, the Taliban killed everyone with short black hair they could find. We will never know the full extent of damage, but we do know many of the documents Manning provided were found on a computer belonging to Osama Bin Laden in the raid—almost cancelled by Mr. Obama—that killed him. Manning’s treason is a gift that is keeping on giving to our enemies, and discouraging people from becoming our allies, even today.

Let us also clarify the nonsense that Manning was given an unusually long sentence “for a leak conviction.” Manning could, and should, have been charged with treason, the punishment for which is death and/or life in prison. One can’t say this often enough: Manning committed treason; he gave aid and comfort to our deadliest enemies, enemies that are still at war with us and will be until we kill every one of them. However, he was prosecuted—gently—under the Obama Administration, which allowed him a generous plea bargain to lesser crimes. The judge obviously understood the depth and damage of his crimes and gave him a commensurate sentence.

Manning admitted his crimes—that was part of the plea bargain, of any plea bargain—and gave a reason for his betrayal: he was going through a lot, and was confused, you know, like about his gender and stuff? Who can’t understand that? Doesn’t everyone confused about their gender betray America and get people killed? Anyone that doesn’t feel deep pity for Manning must be some kind of Republican (to be fair, at least a few congressional Democrats have criticized Mr. Obama’s release of Manning). And so, Mr. Obama rescued Manning, who will get out of jail nearly three decades early. Some have expressed delight that soon, the Army will no longer have authority over Manning. Thank goodness.

According to the White House, which is enormously proud of all of this, Mr. Obama has, to date, granted 212 pardons and 1,385 commutations, “more than the total number of commutations issued by the past 12 presidents combined.” Presidential spokesliar Josh Earnest, on 01-17-17, said more pardons and commutations would be coming on 01-19-17. I’m sure, but I wouldn’t bet those would be all.

The timing of the release of Manning, and one more particularly odious commutation I’ll bring up shortly, is, to put it mildly, interesting, in the sense bloody train wrecks are interesting. Mr. Obama and his sycophants have proclaimed the supposed hacking by Russia of the embarrassing e-mails of Democrat operatives to be a matter of the most stringent and serious national security. This after ignoring eight years of continual Russian, Chinese, Iranian, etc. hacking of the White House, various other government bureaus and agencies, private business information, and more. Oh yes, and ignoring Hillary Clinton’s exposure of material with the highest possible classification levels to our enemies, including–wait for it–Russia. All of that was barely worthy of mention, and certainly not worthy of reprisal against the perpetrators, because all of that was merely damaging to the national security of the United States. That only cost lives, untold billions, the reputation of our intelligence agencies, the trust of our allies and other such trivial things. But threaten the political power of Democrats, and that’s worth economic sanctions—pathetic as they are—against Russia, and a concerted campaign to delegitimize the next president of the United States. One must have priorities.

Why did Mr. Obama release Manning? Spokesliar Earnest said it was because Manning expressed remorse. I’ll bet. If I were facing another 30 years in prison where I could not express the full flowering of my incipient pseudo-womanhood, I’d be willing to express remorse too. I’m sure the untold victims of Manning’s treason, and any of their friends and relatives that somehow managed to survive the wrath of a variety of terrorists and terrorist states are still feeling sorry about things too.

The more likely reasons are obvious: Mr. Obama hates America and Americans, and this—he’s far from done—was just another, and particularly malodorous, opportunity to poke us in the eye. Mr. Obama and Manning are two of a kind, fellow travelers: traitors. Manning is a darling of the left, which also hates America and Americans and is always working to transform it in their image. And “trans” types are currently a favored Democrat victim group. Rescuing Manning was an easy way to outrage straight, patriotic Americans, while simultaneously stirring up the LGBTQWERTY “community,” and like black Americans, making them eternal drones of the Democrat party.

Manning betrayed America and our allies, cost lives and did enormous, continuing damage to the cause of liberty because he was confused about his gender–for the most trivial of reasons. Mr. Obama commuted his sentence because he is a trivial, petty, angry and hateful man striking out at liberty and western civilization with the last vestiges of the power foolishly entrusted to him by the American people.

Mr. Obama, in his record-setting pardon/commutation fest, also commuted the sentence of one Oscar Lopez-Rivera. Who is he? The Hill explains:

Oscar López-Rivera, a well-known Puerto Rican independence fighter, had his 75-year sentence commuted and will also be released May 17.

Ah! He’s “a well-known Puerto Rican independence fighter.” But wait: hasn’t Puerto Rico had several referenda on independence from America, and haven’t the Puerto Rican people rejected it? Yes. They have, most recently in 2012, and they’ll have another go at it, at taxpayer expense, in 2017. What, exactly, is Lopez-Rivera fighting for then? Matthew Hennessey at The New York Daily News explains:

Now 74-years old, López Rivera has served 35 years of a 55-year sentence for seditious conspiracy and weapons-related charges. “I am an enemy of the United States government,” he told federal judge Thomas McMillen in 1983. There is no evidence that he’s changed his mind.

During the 1970s and 80s, López Rivera’s FALN placed more than 130 bombs in American cities. Their goal was to destabilize what they called the ‘Yanki capitalist monopoly’ and achieve Puerto Rican independence. Their method was terrorism.

López Rivera is a terrorist, a psychopath mad with hatred for America. He and his terrorist cell killed Americans and wanted to kill many, many more. In the 70s and 80s he was a terrorist, killing Americans, long before 9-11, before terror was cool. But surely, like Manning, López Rivera has expressed remorse? That’s why Mr. Obama is releasing him? Not quite:

When López Rivera was arrested in 1981, the FBI found six pounds of dynamite and four blasting caps in his Chicago apartment along with numerous fake IDs. He was convicted in federal court of seditious conspiracy, violation of the Hobbs Act, illegal weapons possession, and interstate transportation of stolen motor vehicles.

In 1988, his original sentence was extended 15 years after authorities disrupted an escape plot that included a plan to murder prison guards.

López Rivera, at his trial, proclaimed himself an enemy of the United States, and has never expressed the slightest remorse. He was eventually resentenced for two separate escape attempts. So naturally, in 1999, Bill Clinton commuted the sentences of 16 of his fellow FALN terrorists–he was trying to please New York Puerto Ricans when Hillary made her run for the NY Senate–and extended the offer to López Rivera, who refused, because he would have to admit his crimes and express remorse. “The whole thing of contrition, atonement, I have problems with that,” he said.

But hey, we can respect him for having the courage of his convictions, right? Wrong. His convictions revolve around murdering the innocent. Rather, we should be glad he has been in jail all of this time, because when he is freed, he will absolutely return to the terrorist battlefield—the streets of America—and more innocent Americans will die. At the very least, Mr. Obama has given the insane, bloodthirsty, radical left yet another hero/martyr to praise and to hold up as an example for leftist youth. One can only imagine how delighted the lunatics on American campuses are today. But this is nothing new for Barack Obama as he continues to release the worst of the worst terrorists from Guantanamo Bay during the actual final hours of his reign, despite the fact that many he has released have already returned to the battlefield with renewed, fiercely burning determination to kill Americans.

So, Mr. Obama has released another fellow traveler, and  has established additional precedents. Traitors can be reasonably certain that even if they are detected and convicted, when a Democrat is in office, they’ll be lionized and released. This will encourage rather than deter future treason, and encourage the murder of Americans and our allies. Terrorists can be assured they need only bide their time in prison. Democrats will turn them loose. They’ll be well fed and receive medical care they can’t obtain in their wildest dreams in their native lands while awaiting the chance to return to killing infidels.

Our allies now understand with crystal clarity America cannot be trusted. Our enemies understand we’re easy to attack and retribution will be unlikely, or weak, at least under Democrat Presidents.

And the best part is Mr. Obama still has nearly two whole days left to announce additional pardons and commutations. Expect the most deranged and outrageous to be revealed minutes–perhaps seconds–before Mr. Trump takes the oath of office, if Mr. Obama’s fellow travelers are unsuccessful in disrupting the inauguration. As we contemplate more of the damage Mr. Obama has caused, he’ll be winging his way, with Secret Service escort, to yet another multi-million dollar vacation.

Barack Obama isn’t done with us yet, oh no.

UPDATE, 01-19-17, 1650 CST:  From NBC News:

President Obama capped an extraordinary week in clemency activity Thursday when he shortened the prison sentences of 330 drug offenders, the largest single batch of White House commutations in history.

The announcement, less than 24 hours before he leaves office, came two days after Obama handed out 209 commutations and 64 pardons, part of his historic effort to show mercy to drug offenders serving epic prison terms. Obama has now commuted the sentences of 1,715 people, more than any of his predecessors.

He’s not done yet.
