President Obama expressing his concern for the public…

The Gruber debacle is getting even better/worse. I’ve actually written about this arrogant, economics thug twice. First in “It Was A Mistake, a Typo, Yeah, That’s The Ticket!,” and recently in “Jonathan Gruber: A Lying Little Typo.”   There can be not the slightest doubt–as if there ever was–that the Obamites, including Mr. Obama, knew that Obamacare would do nothing but harm the American people and America, yet they lied to us to force it down our throats, and the lies fly fast and thick even now.  Obamacare has always been about wealth redistribution, not health care.  Health care was merely the vehicle chosen to carry the damage.

Now we have a fourth video of Mr. Gruber disparaging the intelligence of the American public.  In this video, he claims Mr. Obama isn’t stupid in the context of being smart enough to lie to and screw the American public.  Via Hot Air:

Barack Obama’s not a stupid man, okay?’ Gruber said in his remarks at the College of the Holy Cross on March 11, 2010. ‘He knew when he was running for president that quite frankly the American public doesn’t actually care that much about the uninsured….What the American public cares about is costs. And that’s why even though the bill that they made is 90% health insurance coverage and 10% about cost control, all you ever hear people talk about is cost control. How it’s going to lower the cost of health care, that’s all they talk about. Why? Because that’s what people want to hear about because a majority of American care about health care costs.’ …

Gruber said the measures in the bill that attempt to lower costs constitute a ‘spaghetti approach’ — throwing everything against the wall to see what sticks. And while preferable to the status quo, Gruber said he could offer no guarantee that any of the measures would work. What are the Obamacare trade-offs

‘The only way we’re going to stop our country from being a latter day Roman Empire and falling under its own weight is getting control of the growth rate of health care costs,’ he said. ‘The problem is we don’t know how.’ Experts “know what the problem is,’ he said. ‘Our providers are paid enormously high. In the 1950s surgeons are middle class guys like professors…Now they live on the Hamptons, the Cape, they’re like investment bankers.

The only lying, immoral, vile weasels more despicable than Gruber are in the White House and the Democrat side of Congress. At least the lying Republican weasels didn’t vote for Obamacare.

Oh, and way to go MIT! They certainly know how to hire and retain quality faculty. This ought to really boost their brand. It will surely boost their name recognition in the same way that Pol Pot boosted name recognition for communism.

Nancy Pelosi, she who told us we had to pass Obamacare to find out what’s in it, is at it again.  Now she’s claiming she never heard of Gruber and he had nothing to do with writing Obamacare.  Unfortunately for her, there is video of her praising him (even Politifact admits she’s lying), and even the Lamestream Media fact checkers (there’s an oxymoron) have admitted that the Federal Government paid Gruber nearly $400,000.00 to “architect” Obamacare.  Gruber was also a member of Obama’s transition team and made multiple visits to the Whitehouse during the time in question.  He also has had contracts with HHS adding up to far more than a measly $400 thousand.

The best part: the Lamestream Media are, almost entirely, ignoring the Gruber story.  Only Fox News–what a surprise–is reporting it properly–or at all.  The Daily Caller notes the comments of Kirsten Powers, an essentially honest Democrat pundit:

POWERS: This gets so old talking about the media, but this has not been covered by anybody. Other than if you just accidentally stumbled on to Fox news, if you usually watch MSNBC or CNN, I know this is big news to you. Because, truly, it’s not getting covered by anybody, and this is huge news.

RACHEL CAMPOS-DUFFY: Not even in The New York Times.

POWERS: It’s really stunning. You know, this is really big news, and sometimes these are gray areas where you can say, well, maybe you can see why this wouldn’t get covered. There’s no excuse for this.

Can anyone, gentle readers, imagine the storm of media and congressional outrage that would have long ago descended on this nation if this massive and historically unprecedented deception were perpetrated by Republicans? The Democrats wouldn’t bother with impeachment, they’d be calling for the Republican president involved to be drawn and quartered on the steps of Congress, and rightfully so.

Yet some 40% of Americans–if polls are to be believed–still think the economy is great and moving in the right direction, Barack Obama is fundamentally honest and doing a great job, and Obamacare is our national salvation.

God help us.
