The good folks over at Bearing Arms have published my latest article on the rationale for carry a handgun, titled–oddly enough–“I Carry A Handgun Because…” Ultimately, I carry because I know what’s out there and will not be prey, but there are a great many other reasons as well, and perhaps readers can find some that work well for them.

In a civilized society, demeanor and deportment mandate conduct acceptable and unacceptable. Generally, of unacceptable conducts, prisons and newspaper front pages are full of: Murder; Rape; Manslaughter; Robbery; Sodomy; Burglary; Arson; Kidnap; Escape; Assault.
It is reasonable and prudent, to have means of protection per, Second Amendment of the Bill of Rights, which has no limitations, nor infringements.
Therefore, each individual, must decide for themselves, whether any singular weapon or combination of weapons, should be considered.
It may possibly be concluded, that several layers or degrees of utilization, fit an escalation or, if any level should be dismissed for whatever reason, and that too, is a right, and not a privilege.
Onus of Liability, are incumbent upon the individual, and with that, Maturity, and, Responsibility, need to be at the forefront of one’s life, and not, an afterthought.
