This is the final article in the 2023 series, which ties up loose ends.  To find every article in this series, enter “guns and liberty 2023” in the SMM home page search bar. Beginning next Tuesday, I’ll return to not only general information articles, but more topical issues, as our Beltway masters are ever determined to disarm us all. Ammo remains, by historical standards, somewhat scarce and expensive, though it is more available and cheaper in some places than others.  A box of my favorite 9mm ammo, which only a few years ago sold for $10.00, is now selling for $18.00.  More guns are being bought by previous owners, and more first-time buyers, than at nearly any time in history.  Americans aren’t nearly as dumb as our self-imagined political masters imagine.

As regular readers know, I’ve been writing about what might trigger secession, a second civil war, or both, for some time. The SMM Second Civil War archive is here.  Making predictions about such things is an exercise in futility, though it’s worthwhile to speak of trends and where they might lead, not to encourage conflict, but to prevent it. One trend the media is studiously avoiding mentioning is China’s union with Russia, making those nations the most powerful on Earth, and China’s brokering of diplomatic relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia. Part of the aforementioned agreement is the parties will use Chinese currency for trade, displacing the dollar. While Biden’s handlers have concentrated on devastating America, our enemies are winning without fighting.  With D/S/Cs doing their subversion for them, they just have to sit back and laugh.

In Capital Coverup 15.2, I explained why the government’s affidavit in the Daniel Goodwyn case does not provide probable cause for the elements of the redundant crimes charged, why no professional police officer would make an arrest in such a case, and why no ethical prosecutor would charge one. The SMM Capital Coverup archive is here.

Erik Scott

Our world is changing at a dizzying pace.  The Internet has had a substantial role in that.  For the first time in history, we have a new category of people we know.  They’re friends, just not friends we can touch or see over a restaurant table, but we know them nonetheless, and we care about them. For the first time in history, we have access to much of human knowledge in the palms of our hands.  We can know stories and people that would, in the past, forever have escaped us.

Minnesota Phonics: Policies Have Consequences

I’ve often written this: D/S/Cs virtually never admit error. This is not because they don’t make mistakes, but because they believe their philosophy and policies to be infallible, non-falsifiable. They are perfect, and cannot possibly be wrong or fail. Even when their policies—such as “whole language”—fail spectacularly, they first deny the obvious, and usually destructive, failure. Then they blame others. They’ve allowed Normal Americans to continue to exist and the ingrates sabotage their brilliant policies! Not enough money has been spent, and not enough time has passed for the brilliance of their policies to become obvious. The policies haven’t been applied good and hard enough. And of course, Trump.
