This is the second in what will surely become a continuing series. The first was Classified, but to find all in the series, enter “classified” in the SMM home page search bar. Since that first article on January 20, 2023, at least a few of the questions raised have been at least partially answered, and some new—actually old–information has popped up:

When Biden was a senator, he torpedoed the nomination of Ted Sorenson as CIA director:

During Sorenson’s confirmation hearing, Biden said the ‘real issue’ was ‘whether Mr. Sorensen intentionally took advantage of ambiguities in the law, or carelessly ignored the law. . . . If he did so, can he now bring the activities of the intelligence community within the strict limits of the law?’ Biden asked. ‘We will expect that in the future of intelligence agencies. If that is to be the case, then we must hold the Director — DCI — accountable as well.’

An author and DC bureaucrat, Sorenson took classified materials home to research his books. This photo is making the rounds:

Yes, that’s Joe displaying a classified document during a photo op, but he takes classified documents very seriously. We know because he said so.

We’ve been told the Secret Service had no record of who visited Biden’s home where his garage, and Corvette, secured classified documents. It turns out—surprise!—that’s not quite true:

The Secret Service is reportedly willing to reverse course and disclose visitor records from President Joe Biden’s Wilmington residence, where classified documents were unearthed by the president’s personal attorneys.

While the Secret Service claims not to keep visitor logs of everyone who entered Biden’s home, the Secret Service does keep records of those who ‘come into contact’ with the locations the agency protects. It’s those logs the Secret Service is willing to turn over to Congress, according to Fox News.

Uh-huh. And now we learn—surprise, surprise, surprise!—The DOJ and White House hid knowledge of the documents:

The White House and Justice Department (DOJ) reportedly agreed to hide President Joe Biden’s classified document scandal from the American people until it leaked to the press, despite their repeated claims of transparency.

Not only did the White House and DOJ try to obscure the scandal from public view, but they also refused to divulge that the second trove of classified documents were already unearthed at Biden’s home in Wilmington when CBS News first contacted the White House about the initial leak of classified documents apparently illegally stored at the Biden Penn Center, according to the Washington Post: ‘Early on, Biden’s attorneys and Justice Department investigators both thought they had a shared understanding about keeping the matter quiet,’ the Post admitted, noting the Biden administration’s attempt to conceal revelations of the second trove of stashed documents.

I don’t know about you, gentle readers, but I’m shocked–shocked!  Still, when a D/S/C has lost The Washington Post or CBS…

‘CBS News was the first news organization to learn of the matter, contacting the White House on Jan. 6 to ask about the Penn Biden Center documents,’ the report continued. ‘White House officials confirmed the scoop, but since the investigation was ongoing, they decided not to offer any additional details — including the critical information that a second batch of documents had been discovered at Biden’s home.’

But this was supposed to be the most transparent presidential administration in history—after the Obama Administration, of course! Could this unfortunate leak, despite the best concealment efforts of the absolutely non-political DOJ and the absolutely political White House be evidence of D/S/Cs trying to shuffle Biden out the door? The White House is “suspicious:”

White House officials are reportedly suspicious about how President Joe Biden’s classified document scandal was leaked to the press after only a select group of White House and Justice Department officials knew about the violation.

The plot to hide the scandal, initially designed by eight of Biden’s closest confidants with apparent approval from the Justice Department, was suddenly leaked to CBS News 68 days after Biden’s personal attorney unearthed the classified documents at the Penn Biden Center. It is unclear why or what Biden’s personal attorneys were originally seeking at the center funded in part by anonymous Chinese donations.

According to the New York Times, there is suspicion within the White House about how the scandal became public after it had been tightly under wraps for weeks between Biden’s eight aides and the Justice Department. Despite the administration’s claims of transparency after the fact, those eight aides and the DOJ agreed to hide the scandal from the American people until it leaked to the press on January 9, sixty-eight days after the documents were unearthed by an unknown cause on November 2, the Washington Post reported Thursday.

The president’s senior adviser Anita Dunn was initially ‘adamant’ about hiding the legal disaster from the press because ‘the only thing that would create legal exposure would be drawing public attention to it,’ the Times reported Friday. The plot to keep the scandal concealed from the public was further fueled because the aides worried ‘the very act of publicizing the discovery of the documents would create a political furor that would make the appointment of a special counsel unavoidable.’

Dunn, you might recall, was bounced out of the Obama Administration for praising Mao, history’s greatest mass murderer. Mao was one of her “favorite political philosophers.”  That was then, then is now, and drooling over Communist mass murderers is an admission ticket to high, D/S/C, political office.  Interesting, is it not, gentle readers, how people like this keep popping up in D/S/C politics? And this isn’t the only Chinese connection:

While addicted to drugs, cavorting with prostitutes, and making deals with businessmen tied to the highest levels of Chinese intelligence, Hunter Biden lived in the house where Joe Biden stored classified documents.

On a background-check application dated July 2018, Hunter Biden claimed that he paid $49,910 per month in rent and that his ‘current residence’ at that time was 1209 Barley Mill Road in Wilmington, Delaware, according to a document found on Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop.

I’ve previously noted Joe Biden’s tax documents relating to his rental income, which do not show any such income from Hunter, mysteriously vanished from his web site after this revelation. News reports indicate they have now, mysteriously, reappeared there, but obviously that’s subject to change without notice.

Nevertheless, the period that Hunter claimed he was living at 1209 Barley Mill Rd (the Wilmington house where classified documents were found) overlaps with the time multiple Biden family members were taking money from foreign businessmen linked to the highest levels of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) intelligence apparatus.

How linked was he? This linked:

Beginning in late 2015, while his father was still vice president, Hunter Biden began making plans to meet with officials from the Chinese energy company CEFC. CEFC and at least four of its principals and associates, Ye Jianming, Patrick Ho, Gongwen Dong and Jiaqi Bao, have been linked to the Chinese government and its military intelligence apparatus. Hunter once described Patrick Ho as ‘the fucking spy chief of China.’

Hmm. That would seem to be a guilty admission. And this linked:

By early 2017, Hunter was directly corresponding with CEFC personnel and flew to Miami in February of that year to meet with CEFC Chairman Ye Jianming. During this trip, Ye Jianming gave Hunter a 3.16 carat diamond valued at approximately $80,000.

I’m sure Hunter earned every penny–and carat–when he wasn’t stoned.  Come to think of it, during those days he was always stoned so never mind.  And this linked:

Between April 2017 and September 2018, CEFC and its affiliates funneled millions of dollars to the Bidens (mostly to Hunter, but some of that money flowed to Joe Biden’s brother and sister-in-law, James and Sara Biden). Joe Biden met with Hunter’s business partners during this time. All the while, top secret and sensitive compartmented information documents were just lying around in unsecured locations (such as the closet of the Penn Biden Center and the Wilmington garage), easily accessible by the Bidens and their associates.

James Biden, Joe’s brother, was central to the Biden business dealings with CEFC. One of Hunter’s former business associates, Tony Bobulinski, messaged another associate, James Gilliar, on April 30, 2017, wondering ‘what is the deal [with] Jim Biden as he wasn’t part of the discussion and now seems a focal point.’ Likely alluding to Hunter’s addictions, Gilliar replied:

‘[With Hunter’s] demons, [it] could be good to have [Jimmy as] a backup…he strengthens our U[nique] S[elling] P[roposition] to [the] Chinese as it looks like a truly family business.’ [Emphasis added]

Returning to an earlier question, why were Biden’s lawyers searching his old Biden Penn Center For Chinese Espionage and Bribery offices? Powerline has this:

Here is the opening of the long Washington Post story representing the work of six reporters:

‘One of President Biden’s personal attorneys entered the luxurious 10-story office building, so near the U.S. Capitol that its promoters billed it as ‘the front seat to power,’ on a Wednesday last November to begin what seemed a mundane task: clearing out a rarely used office that Biden occupied after leaving the vice presidency.

The attorney, Pat Moore, went through a large closet and found nothing out of the ordinary, a person familiar with the matter said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation. Then he tackled a smaller closet, finding it stuffed with folders, boxes and other political memorabilia, including documents related to Beau Biden’s funeral, drafts of political speeches and boxes of personal books, the person said.

But next, Moore made a surprising discovery: a folder with a cover sheet saying it contained secret government documents. Moore immediately called another attorney and notified the White House Counsel’s Office, which in turn contacted the National Archives, according to two people familiar with the matter.

But if the way they found the classified documents was out of the ordinary, Biden’s lawyers were determined to be sticklers for the rules once it happened, said people familiar with their work.’

Uh-huh. Biden was paying lawyers, certainly clad in expensive business suits, at hundreds, if not thousands of dollars per hour to handle routine moving chores. That’s entirely believable.  I mean, who doesn’t hire gaggles of expensive lawyers to do menial work?   Professor Jacobson at Legal Insurrection suggests a more plausible explanation:

Possible scenario: Maybe the classified documents are a distraction. Maybe the classified documents were not sought, but found inadvertently when looking for unclassified documents regarding Biden family foreign dealings and the funneling of foreign money to The Big Guy.

With it clear that Republican-led House committees were going to be issuing subpoenas, Team Biden needed to make sure the Biden Center at U. Penn (in D.C.) was not in a position to produce those boxes in response to a subpoena. What better way to solve the problem than to move the boxes. But knowing there was potentially damaging documents in there, you needed lawyers with a duty of loyalty to their client (Joe) to do the work. They needed not only to move things, but to know what damaging material might already have been seen by others.

Once the lawyers stumbled upon classified documents in those boxes, they knew they had a problem. So they contacted friendlies at the FBI/DOJ. They had to convince the friendlies that they were diligently searching, hence the search of the residence, where more classified docs were found. The classified documents may be the tail that’s now wagging the unclassified Biden family corruption dog.

Possible, but likely? Yes, unless there is some other reason lawyers were acting as movers.

Final Thoughts: The Bidens are clearly not the brilliant criminal masterminds of fiction. Criminals, surely. Masterminds, not at all, which means they have not eliminated all evidence, documentary and otherwise, of their crimes. Rather a shame actual law enforcement officers aren’t after them.  Were that the case, they’d be in real trouble.  Biden’s attorneys must be beside themselves worrying about what could unexpectedly pop up.  The FBI has had Hunter’s laptop for years now, and thankfully, The New York Post and other organizations have copies of the hard drive.

Hiring movers is an expensive proposition these days, but far less expensive than hiring lawyers to do the same job. It’s entirely possible these Italian-suited movers really weren’t looking for classified documents, but evidence of Joe’s many crimes, the better to do a Hillary and destroy anything incriminating. That’s what defense lawyers do; they try to get ahead of the police, the better to hide incriminating evidence. As I’ve previously written, the police—in this case the FBI—don’t normally—actually, never—knowingly help defense lawyers hide evidence of crimes. They particularly don’t do that when national security might be involved, but hey, this is Joe Biden. He’s just being Joe, so what the hell? You defense lawyers go ahead. Search for and handle classified documents for which you have no clearances. Turn them over to the Chinese if you like, I mean, if they haven’t already seen it.  Hide and/or destroy anything incriminating you come across. We trust you. Just let us know what you find whenever it’s convenient—or don’t. It’s all good!

Ominously, it’s now being reported Biden’s chief handler, Ron Klain, is resigning.  It seems obvious Joe Biden’s value as a useful idiot is nearing, if not at, an end. The New York Times and Washington Post have turned against him, but I’m sure his loyalists—a rapidly dwindling cohort—are hoping this story will just go away. Not if the Washington Examiner has anything to say about it:

President Joe Biden has been laughing off questions about his improper taking of classified documents after leaving the vice presidency in 2017, but most believe it was wrong, and a supermajority back the Justice Department’s investigation into his actions.

A whopping 76% said in a just-released Economist/YouGov survey that they support the department’s special investigation into Biden’s handling of classified documents found in a Washington-based think tank and his Wilmington, Delaware, home.

Hmm. Maybe not then.

As always, take the links I provide. There is much more information therein, including links to additional, useful information. One final thought: even if Joe does resign, or is forced out, the DOJ won’t prosecute him. They’ll probably discover a diagnosis of dementia/Alzheimer’s, which would “justify” their non-prosecution decision, and potentially, still allow a prosecution of Trump to make way for President Michelle Obama, who dresses like an enormous banana—another historic, presidential first. I wrote about this possibility in 2019:

Drafted against her will—how sad!–-but nobly willing to sacrifice herself to accept to save the country from liberty, the rule of law and prosperity, Michelle Obama would stride manfully onstage dressed as a lizard thigh boot-clad banana to thunderous applause, having suffered none of the interminable D/S/C debates.  Saved from having to agree with the other candidates in their rush to build another Venezuela, she could appear somewhat American–if one doesn’t look too closely or for too long.  She has scant political baggage, and she recently published a book that would be endlessly excerpted by the media in embarrassingly gushing prose.

Make that, circa late 2022, a second, “How am I so wonderful?” media drool-covered, book.

We are watching the further dissolution of our federal law enforcement system, government, and nation into third world status. God help us all.

More to come tomorrow; things are moving fast.  See you there, gentle readers.
