It was inevitable…  Ahhhhhhhh!

And hopefully 2022…

Heads you lose, tails you lose…

If you’re not reading Day By Day Cartoon, here’s why you should be…

This is perversely funny…

And we’re keepin’ it…

They’re sensitive that way…

They’re sensitive that way too…

Well, if fact checkers said it’s false…

I’ll believe climate change is dangerous when they can stay awake at climate change summits…

Awwwww…

I guess those privates were better than they thought…

Not better than we thought…

This is inevitable too…

This is an insult to the Borg…

And the media screamed for more…

Economics made easy in two photos…

Because of course…

I’ve noticed that too…

I’ve noticed that too too…

I’ve noticed that too too too…

I’m in…

Government at work…

Fill in the blank…

Well, he thinks he’s been told anyway…

Brilliant!

Surprise, surprise!

Double brilliant!

And in the just because it’s ridiculously cute department…

Did you hear the one about the Energy Secretary, Jennifer Granholm? She has no idea how much oil America consumes every day.  Yeah.  That’s not funny, which is why we need the Funnies more all the time.

One of the things I miss about teaching is no longer collecting gems of unintentional humor from the writings of my students.  For your amusement, here are a few more from the past:

“America is like the emo kid everyone is afraid of; it’s either real or a water gun.”

“It [America] is also a large country, so it is hard to maintain by one person.”

“We are never guilty until proven guilty.”

“People with color or not can be successful and also trashy.”

“Frederick Jackson’s speech was nothing but wrong, and I haven’t even read it.”

If you haven’t already, consider buying a copy of License To Kill. It’s not funny, but there are some things, and some people, everyone should know.

If you get the book directly through the publisher, I’ll make a few cents more than if you get it at Amazon. It’s $17.99 at either source, and Amazon has a $4.99 Kindle edition.  Positive comments on Amazon about LTK would be great too.  Go here to comment.

I hope the Funnies are providing at least a little ray of light with which to begin the week.

Fun idea: Call the White House and ask: “Where’s my $450,000 bucks.

As always, the Funnies will be back next Sunday, and I hope to see you here at this scruffy little blog every day.
