Because of course.  Uh, because they didn’t follow CDC guidance?

I have quite a few Babylon Bee memes this week, but that’s just because they’re so darned good, like this one:

He’s just that kind of guy…

She’s just that kind of race baiting loser hack…

And in the homes of Normal Americans when they flip to CNN by mistake…

It’s kind of hard to build things when you have no idea how to even start…

Build back emptier?

I always thought they carried submachine guns in those…

They always look so sour, that’s what I thought they’ve been doing all along…

Talk about a perfect costume…

The perfect man…

Me too…

I haven’t eaten there nearly enough lately…

If you’re not reading Day By Day Cartoon every day, here’s why you should…

If you’re a Monty Python fan, you’ll get this one…

It takes one to know one…

It takes one to eat one…

Those Chinese are sneaky…

Well of course galactic guardians of justice are inappropriate for enforcing social justice…

Return to sender…

I gotta get me one of these…

That’s what my Mom used to tell me…

Because it’s NYC, so of course…

He can tell dreams from reality?!

I knew it!

Newest fashion trend for Southwest pilots…

Yeah, the “International Community” is just that stupid…

How can we miss you if you won’t go away?

And in the just because it’s ridiculously cute department…

Did you hear the one about how Joe Biden said “no way are illegals getting $450,000 each for breaking federal law”, and then his Deputy Press Secretary and the ACLU  said, “way?”  Yeah.  That’s not funny, which is why we need the Funnies more all the time.

One of the things I miss about teaching is no longer collecting gems of unintentional humor from the writings of my students.  For your amusement, here are a few more from the past:

“Steve [Captain America] assembles a team called the Hollowing Commmanders.”

“In boot camp Steve was bullied by the other soldiers due to his small statue.”

“So overall I think it has its differences and similarities but mostly is different than other examples.”

“In the end of Captain America: The First Avenger Steve Rogers wakes up 70 years into the future after being asleep for the last several decades.”

“Maybe my bad gas is actually propitious.”

If you haven’t already, consider buying a copy of License To Kill. It’s not funny, but there are some things, and some people, everyone should know.

If you get the book directly through the publisher, I’ll make a few cents more than if you get it at Amazon. It’s $17.99 at either source, and Amazon has a $4.99 Kindle edition.  Positive comments on Amazon about LTK would be great too.  Go here to comment.

I hope the Funnies are providing at least a little ray of light with which to begin the week.

Fun idea: Call the federal domestic terrorist hotline and report Joe Biden and Merrick Garland.

As always, the Funnies will be back next Sunday, and I hope to see you here at this scruffy little blog every day.
