OK, OK, so Fauci lied to the American public about a great many things. He admitted many of those lies, but the self-imagined elite forgave him because he was always faithful to the narrative, because he was only lying to Normals—you’re supposed to lie to them!–and because he was lying because Normals couldn’t take or understand the truth. And OK, OK, so Fauci lied again, denying the NIH, which he heads, funded gain of function research at Wuhan:
The National Institutes of Health has stunningly admitted to funding gain-of-function researchon bat coronaviruses at China’s Wuhan lab — despite Dr. Anthony Fauci repeatedly insisting to Congress that no such thing happened.
In a letter to Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) on Wednesday, a top NIH official blamed EcoHealth Alliance — the New York City-based nonprofit that has funneled US funds to the Wuhan lab — for not being transparent about the work it was doing.
NIH’s principal deputy director, Lawrence A. Tabak, wrote in the letter that EcoHealth’s ‘limited experiment’ tested whether ‘spike proteins from naturally occurring bat coronaviruses circulating in China were capable of binding to the human ACE2 receptor in a mouse model.’
OK, OK, so fauci repeatedly, arrogantly, and angrily lied about it, and accused Senator Rand Paul, a medical doctor, of lying. By the way, gain of function research is basically trying to modify viruses so they can infect, or more efficiently infect, human beings. Golly. Can’t imagine why the Chinese Communists might want to do that.
The admission from the NIH official directly contradicts Fauci’s testimony to Congress in May and July, when he denied the US had funded gain-of-function projects in Wuhan.
OK, OK, so even though the NIH has admitted the NIH actually did fund gain of function research at Wuhan, Fauci still denied it:
In a video [played on an ABC Sunday talk show], when asked if Fauci should be fired, Sen. Paul said, ‘Absolutely. The thing is, is just for lack of judgment, if nothing else. You know, he’s probably never going to admit he lied. He’s going to continue to disassemble and stretch the truth.’
Fauci said, ‘I obviously totally disagree with Senator Paul. He’s totally incorrect. Neither I nor Dr. Francis Collins, the director of the NIH, lied or misled about what we’ve done. The framework under which we have guidance about the conduct about the research that we fund, the funding at the Wuhan Institute, was to be able to determine what is out there in the environment in bat viruses in China. The research was very strictly under what we call a framework of oversight of the type of research. Under those conditions which we have explained very, very clearly, does not constitute research of gain of function of concern.’
Translation: It’s somebody else’s fault, even though it never occurred, but it’s not my fault that it did, because we have a framework. And now we find the NIH is altering the definition, in an apparent attempt to help Fauci lie in the future:
OK, OK, so Fauci did fund gain of function research, tried to cover it up, got caught, and is still lying about it. That’s what D/S/Cs do. So what? The Harris/Biden/Whoever Administration—Joe Biden, Temporary President—surely isn’t going to fire their primary viral fear inducer. Short of killing puppies, there is nothing that is going to dislodge Fauci.
What’s that? He has killed puppies, and in particularly vile, brutal and inhuman ways? Yes he has:
Reports that Dr. Anthony Fauci’s division of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) partially funded an experiment of insects eating beagle puppies alive has sparked bipartisan outrage on Capitol Hill.
Responding to a report from the non-profit organization White Coat Waste Project, both Democrats and Republicans signed a letter this week demanding to know why the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases – one of the 27 institutes under the NIH – partially funded an experiment that locked beagles’ heads in cages while hordes of hungry sandflies ate them alive.
According to The Hill, the beagles were infected with ‘disease-causing parasites to test an experimental drug on them.’ The experiment transpired in a Tunisia, North Africa laboratory where as many as 44 beagle puppies endured what Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) referred to as a ‘cruel’ and ‘reprehensible misuse of taxpayer funds.’
To eliminate incessant barking, the beagle puppies also had their vocal cords removed.
Of course. Wouldn’t want “researchers” to be disturbed by the agonizing death throes of the puppies they’re murdering! African researchers: doing jobs Americans won’t do.
‘Our investigators show that Fauci’s NIH division shipped part of a $375,800 grant to a lab in Tunisia to drug beagles and lock their heads in mesh cages filled with hungry sand flies so that the insects could eat them alive,’ White Coat Waste told Changing America. ‘They also locked beagles alone in cages in the desert overnight for nine consecutive nights to use them as bait to attract infectious sand flies.’
Neither Dr. Anthony Fauci nor the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases has responded to the White Coat Waste Project report.
So what? If you attack Saint Anthony Fauci, M.D, you are attacking science itself! We know because he said so, and he wouldn’t lie about a thing like that:
Among the many jobs I held during my law enforcement career was management of an animal control section. In that job, we had something of a joke about angry citizens:
You killed my family, but you kicked my dog. Now I’m MAD!
It was funny, in a black way, because people take cruelty to animals seriously, as well they should. I often saw leftist judges who would give minimal sentences to criminals that beat and raped women, but would really lay down the law for people who abused animals.
Normal Americans are, unlike what the self-imagined elite would have you believe, kind and compassionate people. Their compassion particularly extends toward little children and animals, because both are innocent and helpless, which is particularly true of our pets, mostly dogs and cats. When cruel and stupid people abuse them, Normal Americans rightfully become angry, and on first thought are encouraged to do to them what they have done to animals. They understand the relative necessity of some kinds of animal research, but only if it directly benefits mankind. They do not romanticize animals or mistake animals for human beings, but they have no patience or mercy for people who cause animals unnecessary suffering.
Fortunately, we live—for the moment—more or less under the rule of law, and we ultimately would not do to animal abusers what they would do to animals. That would be a violation of the 8th Amendment prohibiting cruel and unusual punishment. I suspect most Americans are sorely tempted to make an exception for anyone involved in causing puppies to be eaten alive by voracious insects.
What sort of monster would conceive of such an “experiment?” What sort of monster would perform it? What sort of monster would fund it?
I suspect we’re about to see what sort of monster would defend it—as science?!
Is it possible funding and lying about a virus that has killed millions cannot dislodge someone like Fauci, but torturing puppies to death might?
To paraphrase Patrick Henry, I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me the figurative heads—resignations at minimum–of anyone and everyone in the US Government even remotely involved in funding or in any way enabling or supporting this abomination, or I’ll start considering ignoring the rule of law and 8th Amendment. Even cruel and unusual punishment is too good for them.
Pre-Posting Update: What’s that you say, gentle readers? It couldn’t possibly be worse? It’s worse.
As an everyday American citizen, doing my best to obey the laws and maintain a civil society, while exercising my faith in a Supreme Being, I continue to be at a loss as to why scientists would be allowed to experiment with viruses that could kill millions of people is accidentally released. Millions of human beings have now lost their lives, the lives of their loved ones, due to some useless dumbass experiment gone wrong, and nobody is going to spend a single day in the slammer for it. There will never be any major world tribunals to bring them to justice like they did for the Nazis, There will never be any justice for the poor souls that drowned in their bodily fluids because of these crazed individuals. My little brother happened to be one of those poor souls, and it pisses me off greatly.
All the articles written, the information broadcast on Fox News, Newsmax and the other conservative websites are for the Americans that are already conservative. The people that need to hear the truth, will never hear it on ABC, CBS or NBC. The MSM protects the Dems and Biden at all cost. So how does the rest of America hear the truth? They don’t. It’s always been this way since Cronkite and Huntley and Brinkley passed on. The news is so skewed it’s should be criminal, but the heads in blue suits are in on it and continue to rake in millions per day. Greed drives it all. Truth is non existent and people that voted for the currant group of Nazi’s in Washington will also be the recipients of the fall. They will also squall the loudest when it effects them. It’s a good thing that you continue to write about this, and we can all hope that some 30 year old lib will read this and a light bulb turns on. We can only pray for the best outcome.
It is standard government procedure to use “cut-outs” to move money around. “Bribes” are so “lower class”. Fauci just did what government usually does. He didn’t send money to China. He sent money to EcoHealth Alliance, who in turn, sent money to China. That is how a “cut-out” works.
The focus might be better directed toward China and those doing the viral research. China is as likely to operate a high risk viral institute safely as Flint is to deliver safe water to its population or East Saint Louis (Illinois) is to operate an effective sanitary sewer system, but when the virus did get loose, no one sounded an alarm. China shut down internal travel but kept international travel going. China has been producing new and horrible diseases for several millenia but this time the sudden spred to the West was intentional. Th deaths and the economic damage are due to China and their friends in the Democratic Party. This didn’t “just happen”.
I guess it depends who you want to believe.

Dear Doug:
Well, considering even the NIH has admitted Fauci lied about gain of function research, and Fauci has admitted a number of his own lies, and considering the WaPo has been caught in many lies, all of which favor D/S/Cs–the Russia Hoax among them–it’s reasonable to reserve ultimate judgment, but to lean in favor of the opposite of anything the WaPo, federal government, or Snopes, which has also been caught in many lies, says.
..and every one of your usual Conservative sources echoing their lies… seems we have lots of lie and no onw with the truth…. unless you think the “truth” is what you believe.
I might suggest that our life is far more than just how Fauci might treat beagles.

Dear Doug:
I cite reliable sources, sources that have a proven track record of adherence to traditional journalistic standards. In comparison to the legacy media sources that have proved themselves little more than the propaganda arm of the D/S/C Party, the sources I often cite might appear to be right of center, but in reality are merely far more neutral and honest. The Legacy media doesn’t always lie, but when they do, through commission or omission, they invariably favor and protect D/S/Cs.
That’s all self-affirming the sources you choose to use. I have “reliable sources” as well… that the Right don’t consider reliable at all.
But here’s to the greater context. I generally follow the “rule of reasonableness” which often times triggers me to check further. I read your post here on Fauci and the puppies.. and I never heard this one before. It seems the Right is trying to make him the villain for everything since the Great Depression. Like so much that the Trumpian Conservatives lock onto to lie about in general (like that Garland memo allegedly suggesting angrily dissenting parents should be arrested) , this “Fauci’s puppies” simply made no sense to me. It turned out that it was all indeed yet another blathering of misinformation and selective interpretation simply to add to his… villainy.
I wouldn’t say, “So what?” but rather “Who cares?” As I already stated, more important things to worry about at the moment than misinformation about Fauci, the NIH, and beagles.
Dear Doug:
Sorry, but this accusation is far from disproved. It’s also interesting that the NIH has not, as yet, produced a believable rebuttal. We shall see.
Reliability of news sources is a matter for all to determine. I make my determinations on a source’s fidelity to actual, rather than D/S/C journalistic ethics, fidelity to facts, overall accuracy, their willingness to report all the news rather than concealing news harmful to D/S/Cs (Hunter Biden laptop, for instance), and their willingness to promptly admit and correct error, as well as how often they make errors and their relative significance. On the Russia Hoax and Hunter Biden laptop issues alone, the mainstream outlet’s refusal to admit their gross, partisan and continuing error and concealment is telling.
As to Fauci’s villany, he’s already admitted lying about a variety of issues of great public importance, and has had a major, and continuing, role in the damage done to America and Americans over Covid. Do such people deserve to be among the most highly paid public employees, or are we wrong for holding them to a standard of competence and honesty? Shouldn’t a medical doctor first do no harm?
There are certainly far more important issues about which to worry, which does not prevent informed, engaged people from keeping abreast of less world-shattering issues, now does it?
You mean, fiddle while Rome burns? That’s certainly a valid choice, especially given Conservatives see the only problem in America as being Liberals in power. Remove Liberals and all will be well. Not even the old GOP professed that idea.
Dear doug:
Liberals don’t have to be removed. All they need do is obey the rule of law and Constitution and keep their noses out of the business of others.
I suppose if that isn’t enough there’s this Snopes fact checking…..
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/fauci-vaccine-experiment-beagles/
If someone has to rely on WashPo and far left Snopes for their “facts” then they’re too brainwashed to engage in debate.
And you call the “other” elitist?
Dear Ken:
What you said.
