Yes.  Next question?  Been there, done that…

Even a mildly snarky tweet and $2 dollar a gallon gas would do…

Wishful thinking?  If so, what the Hell’s the matter with you?

Film at 11?

Yup…

Useful “science” for a change…

Don’t you just love those old photos…hey!

Nah.  That’s just being a D/S/C…

Appreciate these bits of scripture, revised for the eternal Covid age, courtesy of the Babylon Bee:

Verily…

Of course…

I’ve always liked this one…

Yup…

Greater love hath no man…

Layers and layers of editors and fact checkers…

I hear this is popular in DC…

I hear this is popular in America…

Diversity is our strength…

Never mind…

I certainly am…

That’s why I’m still around…

Coming to a country near you?

Because who knows more about complex political issues than rock musicians?

Good safety tip…

And picking toe jam isn’t due to colonialism?

I’d buy that…

Well, at least they’re consistent…

Who knew they were so sophisticated and advanced?

Uh, what?

What do they think they’re doing?!

And in the just because it’s cute department…

It’s a bit odd to live in a country that punishes law enforcement officers for enforcing the law.

One of the things I miss about teaching is no longer collecting gems of unintentional humor from the writings of my students.  For your amusement, here are a few more from the past:

“Tom Sawyer—that’s the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, isn’t it?”

“School is my adversary.”

“The last days if school are splendid.”

“My friend’s family have a harem in their living room.”

“A cold wife makes a good lechery.”

If you haven’t already, consider buying a copy of License To Kill. It’s not funny, but there are some things, and some people, everyone should know.

If you get the book directly through the publisher, I’ll make a few cents more than if you get it at Amazon. It’s $17.99 at either source, and Amazon has a $4.99 Kindle edition.  Positive comments on Amazon about LTK would be great too.  Go here to comment.

I hope the Funnies are providing at least a little ray of light with which to begin the week. With Biden’s cleaning out the Haitian camp under the Del Rio Bridge by moving them into America to make room for 85,000 more, there’s not a great deal about which to laugh.

As always, the Funnies will be back next Sunday, and I hope to see you here at this scruffy little blog every day.
