George P. Schultz was the Secretary of State under Ronald Reagan. When he interviewed newly appointed US Ambassadors, he would present them with a globe and tell them to identify their country. Inevitably, they’d point out the country to which they were being assigned. Schultz would then point to America and say, “No. This is your country.”
It’s long been known American diplomats have a tendency to “go native,” to identify with the country to which they are assigned rather than America. Ronald Reagan and George Schultz knew, beyond any doubt, they were honor bound to represent the best interests of the United States, and no other country. That also means they didn’t attack America or gladly suffer those that did. The Harris/Biden/Whoever Administration—Gropin’ Joe Biden, Temporary President—recognizes no such obligations, and has no honor, as The New York Post explains:
The United Nations — whose World Health Organization arm was just panned for its probe of the COVID-19 pandemic’s origins confined to guidelines set by the Chinese Communist Party — has been formally invited by the Biden administration to investigate ‘the scourge of racism, racial discrimination, and xenophobia’ in the US, according to Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
‘As the President has repeatedly made clear, great nations such as ours do not hide from our shortcomings; they acknowledge them openly and strive to improve with transparency,’ said Blinken in a statement released Tuesday.
‘It is in this context that the United States intends to issue a formal, standing invitation to all UN experts who report and advise on thematic human rights issues,’ he continued. ‘As a first step, we have reached out to offer an official visit by the UN Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism and the UN Special Rapporteur on minority issues.’
The invitation was extended a little over a year after the lightning-rod death of George Floyd, a black man killed when white Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin — since fired and convicted of murder — knelt on his neck during an arrest.
In a global report issued last month sparked by Floyd’s death, UN human rights chief Michelle Bachelet called on nations to ‘start dismantling racism.’
And earlier this month, Bachelet said that nations should ‘fully fund … a wide range of reparations measures’ to make amends for slavery, discrimination and colonial rule.
The invitation also comes less than a year after the US endured a lashing on its civil rights record before the UN — getting scolded by the likes of China, Russia, Saudi Arabia and North Korea.
Let’s not forget Blinken’s embarrassment at the hands of no less a violator of human rights than China:
Diplomatic representatives of the People’s Republic of China lectured the U.S. administration about America’s ‘long history of killing blacks’ during the first bilateral meeting between the two nations in Joe Biden’s presidency in Anchorage, Alaska.
So of course, the obvious path forward, if America is to regain its moral standing in the world, is to give a prime opportunity to perhaps the most corrupt organization in the world, an organization dominated by terror supporting, corrupt states that harbor a vicious hatred for America, to absolutely demolish what little moral standing Blinken and the State Department haven’t already destroyed. Back to The NY Post:
In the Tuesday statement, Blinken said that the US had a duty to stand for judgment at the hands of the outside world.
‘Responsible nations must not shrink from scrutiny of their human rights record; rather, they should acknowledge it with the intent to improve,’ he said. ‘I urge all UN member states to join the United States in this effort, and confront the scourge of racism, racial discrimination, and xenophobia.’ [emphasis mine]
“Xenophobia?” Oh, right. That would be the xenophobia Normal Americans have for millions of illegal aliens, people breaking our laws with the help of the Harris/Biden/Whoever Administration, who will further use them to break voting laws in 2022 and 2024. But of course, they’re not xenophobic when they refuse to admit Cubans, legitimately fleeing their deaths at the hands of communist murderers. They’re only people genuinely oppressed and fearing death, you know, the wrong kind of “people of color” immigrants, people who know what Communism is and vote Republican. Perhaps the UN virtue signalers might pay a visit to Cuba on the way here? In America, racial discrimination is illegal, yet where are the prosecutions for violating those laws?
On the Wednesday, 07-14-21 edition of The Ingraham Angle, Senator Tom Cotton said:
‘Totally pathetic,’ Cotton said. ‘Laura, Tony Blinken, like his boss, Joe Biden, is sticking a kick me sign on Uncle Sam’s back here. They should tell that rapporteur to pack his bags and head straight to China, where China is committing genocide against religious and ethnic minorities, where they’re engaged in the systematic sterilization of minority women so they can’t reproduce, or barring that, the systematic rape of them, so they produce Han Chinese, to say nothing of what they’ve done to Hong Kong over the last year, or to Christians who are simply trying to worship God in their homes throughout China, that’s where the UN should be focusing on human rights abuses. They should not be coming to the United States. And it’s disgraceful that Joe Biden, Tony Blinken have asked them to do so.’
Let’s remember too it is the UN that allows, even helps, terrorist murderers to store and fire weapons from their facilities in the states surrounding Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East, and our ally, until the Harris/
Biden/Whoever Administration. Let’s also not forget the UN’s complete corruption in helping China hide its culpability for Covid-19.
President Trump also has the Administration’s number:
‘The Biden Administration’s refusal to forcefully condemn Communism and the Cuban Communist Regime is a national travesty,’ the former president declared. ‘The Biden Administration’s ludicrous suggestion that the Cubans are protesting government mismanagement—not brutal Communist oppression—is an insult to every Cuban patriot who has suffered, been imprisoned, or died in pursuit of freedom.’
It’s an insult to the 100 million or more killed by Communists in the last century alone, and to every freedom-loving man and woman who has ever served in our military fighting that evil.
‘Today’s Democrat Party is so far left they can’t even take a stand against violent Communism,’ Trump declared. ‘Many are Communists themselves!’
And when the UN inevitably discovers the US is the premier violator of human rights in the known universe and systemically racist beyond repair, what then? Will George Floyd be featured on a new UN flag? How many trillions will we have to pay to the UN and other nations to atone for our sins? Will red states be garrisoned by blue-helmeted US “peacekeepers, the noble warriors who have robbed, looted and raped their way across the Third World? Will such champions of human rights and democracy as Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, Russia and China sit in judgment of us? How much power will the Harris/Biden/Whoever Administration cede to hostile foreign states to right the wrong that is America? Will American citizens be surrendered to UN “human rights” tribunals? Or will the universal condemnation of the UN merely serve as the trigger for the complete and final unleashing of our own internal security forces against half of America? What would be the charge? Racism? White Supremacy? Wrong think? Being white? Being American?
What are our actual foreign enemies to think of an Administration that hates America and not only won’t defend it, but invites America’s enemies to score a propaganda coup? The Administration, with its pathetically weak response to Cuba, has convincingly demonstrated it sees cries for liberty as an attack on government. Tragically, in America, circa 2021, that’s true. With “leaders” like Biden and Blinken, America doesn’t need enemies, nor do Normal, constitutional Americans.
“It is our policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world.”-George Washington
“Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations; entangling alliances with none.”-Thomas Jefferson
The USA should ostentatiously withdraw from the UN and NATO.
Dear Tom:
Or like Trump, demand–and get–performance for our dollars. Need I say taking no lip from anyone is also necessary?
