Might want to read “The Road to Serfdom,” a little book of profound predictions written by Friedrich A. Hayek long ago. And know what’s coming.
Hayek? Yeah.. well… the “problem” with this early 2oth century philosophers, in my truly non-intellectual opinion, is that they presented their observations based not of future put of the present in their times. They all leave out (even Orwell) growing (quickly) population and most assuredly the effect of technology, largely in instant communications. There’s little room for the comforts of social evolution by which armchair fellows can pen their ideas of a future based entirely on their present. Things, events, situations, conditions are changing quicker than we can predict… other than maybe still being able to predict human response and behaviors into the next five minutes into the future. For the present we not only have the technology of instant communications, but the complete and total ability to defraud what’s being communicated.. but not at some weekly fireside chat or the evening news at the end of the day. It’s the bombardment of information to a public of which at least 60% is largely more concerned with their own welfare and survival than politics and filtering through with critical thinking. In fact, critical thinking itself has been bastardized to the point where “everyone” thinks they not only know how to apply it, but apply it all the time to be individually informed correctly; no one tells them how to think.
But hey.. that’s just me. I prefer to be in this world (which for any of us means, I prefer to be in “MY” world… because that has worked for me).

It’s amazing the lies and filth you spread and repeat. 1st off, your contradictions in this piece are numerous, but I’ll stick to one. You say that you extreme right wingers (and, I suppose, all Republicans) don’t hate anyone. Yet, just a few lines earlier, you imply and say that Democrats and any left leaning person is anti-American. Sounds pretty hateful to me. You people have been calling me anti-American since at least the Reagan admin (Treasury Sec James Watt: There are 2 types of people in this country – liberals (pause)…and Americans). It took me all these years to realize that the real anti-Americans are people such as yourself. The country you “love” is an America of the pre-Roosevelt era – and I’m NOT referring to FDR here). The land you “love” and envision would be as when Blacks, Jews, and Hispanics knew their place and kept in line. SAD as the man you worship, Trump (you say your side doesn’t worship politicians: yet if he had murdered a half dozen journalists at a press conference, you would’ve defended him, saying something like, “Well, they deserved it”) – SAD as he used to Twitter-type in all caps repeatedly. I signed up for your newsletter in hopes that I would find some well thought-out arguments for conservativism. But you continuously recycle the same drivel of far-right extremist media (Hannity for just one example, and he always “forgets” to let his listeners know that he was a major advisor – albeit unofficially – to your beloved Trump). I wish I was a faster typist and had more time to respond to more of your accusations, but suffice to say, go study Italy of the 1920s and 30s, and, of course, Germany of the 30s.
I in no way think that all Trump voters are evil anti-American nut cases. The vast majority were just sold a phony prophet, whom they held hope could right some of the wrongs suffered under both parties’ helm over the past 40 years. But many, many of the most vocal “always Trumpers” are indeed, hateful people. There is a reason why the American Nazi Party and the Klu Klux Klan – after NEVER supporting a major-party presidential candidate – were whole heartedly behind Trump. And a good reason why David Duke said of Trump, “He speaks our language.”
One quick aside: have you noticed, not ONE angry tweet from the current president (repeat after me: “President Joe Biden”) about your side’s current love, Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene. Not even a mention of her nastiness and insane thoughts when he’s making any public statement. This might be because he’s busy WORKING. Can you imagine, say in 2017, a totally bonkers Democratic Rep as nuts as Greene, saying something like, Mitch McConle eats baby brains before his morning run. Trump WOULD BE TWEETING IN ALL CAPS non-stop all day long – for many days – about such a nut case (please, AOC is nowhere near this crazy, nor, frankly, that mentally ill). I don’t know where a president finds so much time to spread so much hatred (and self-love) on a social media platform. Unless, he was tweeting from one of his golf clubs (at large public exspense), as he sets record amounts of time for presidential golfing. (Remember how hard he rode Obama for golfing – hardly as often as Trump did.) (Oh, I forgot, Obama was not really the legitimate president, having been born in Kenya or Osama Bin-Ladin’s apartment, so he doesn’t count.) (Um, folks, his mother was an American citizen, so he could’ve been born on Mars – he would still be an American citizen. Although, I can grant you, whether or not he would’ve been eligible for the presidency is not absolutely certain, according to some scholars, who have said it would possibly go to the Supreme Court for decision. Moot point, he was born in Hawaii.)
Please learn to think critically. I know hard right-wingers sometimes say critical thought should NOT be taught in schools (Phyllis Scaffely, or if you need a more recent example, many Republican members of the Texas State School Board), but it is critical (pun somewhat intended) to our democracy that there remains a strong, conservative party (hint: my “side” doesn’t have all the answers). Maybe get a subscription to a conservative journal that actually tries persuasion and reason.

Welcome to SMM, but please keep in mind our discourse here is polite. “Filth” and the like are not acceptable. Just a few observations:
Acknowledging someone’s lack of appreciation for America is not synonymous with hate. One can observe the innumerable anti-American comments and actions of the Left, yet bear them no hate. And no, no one worships Trump or any politician. Arguments to the contrary are projection. Joe Biden doesn’t tweet? One might reasonably suggest he’s not mentally capable of doing so, but unlike Mr. Trump, Mr. Biden does not need a channel to bypass the Media; they’re his propaganda arm.
Regarding Obama’s origins, one might be forgiven for being a bit skeptical about him considering he hid his birth certificate for years, and continues to hide virtually every document about his education and earlier life to this day. Was he born in Kenya? It really doesn’t matter anymore, nor have I even glancingly raised the issue in years.
What you ignore here is the reality that all I’ve done in this little article is repeat the accusations of leftists. You’ve seen congressional and media D/S/Cs accusing our troops of being terrorists, Pelosi accusing congressional republicans of being enemies of America, AOC accusing Ted Cruz of attempted murder, and on and on?

We find ourselves Heinlein’s crazy years, where our federal government, and not a few state governments, are painting love of country, the rule of law and the Constitution treason, and protest–when done by normal Americans–insurrection. globalists only way to achieve the goal of UN supremacy, or whatever replaces the UN, is to break down strong national governments. It started in the U S with Ford/ Carter, slowed under Reagan, then began a rapid acceleration under late years Bush Sr. and Clinton. Here in Canada it began with Pearson then Trudeau with their focus on the UN instead of the Commonwealth.
Heinlein was indeed correct in his forecast. Not bad for a classic liberal educated at Annapolis.
