As regular readers know, I’m rather hard on the media.  “Hard” in that I report the truth about them.  I also report the facts, which are what normal people believe truth to be made of.  I have not, until now, spent a great deal of time exposing the media’s “fact checkers” for what they are: liars and propagandists.  Remember Gropin’ Joe Biden said D/S/Cs believe in truth over facts?  Facts don’t change, but it’s easy to lie about them and call those lies “truth.”

How can we know I’m being truthful and factual?  I present two proofs.  Proof #1 comes from Fox News:  

New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman is urging Joe Biden not to participate in the three upcoming debates with President Trump unless the president agrees to ‘two conditions’ Friedman has proposed.

‘I worry about Joe Biden debating Donald Trump. He should do it only under two conditions. Otherwise, he’s giving Trump unfair advantages,’ Friedman began his column Tuesday evening.

Friedman said the ‘conditions’ should be that Trump must release his tax returns from 2016 to 2018, and that both campaigns should agree on having a ‘real-time fact-checking team’ hired by the nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates.

The columnist suggested ‘10 minutes before the scheduled conclusion of the debate, this team report on any misleading statements, phony numbers or outright lies either candidate had uttered. That way no one in that massive television audience can go away easily misled.’

Considering The New York Times has admitted it is entirely biased against President Trump, or indeed, pretty much any Republican—Mitt Romney likely excluded—an independent fact checker might be needed for Friedman.  However, to be scrupulously fair, Friedman is worried because Biden is suffering from dementia and is spiraling down fast, every D/S/C attempt to destroy Trump has failed, the economy is coming back hard and fast, and having moderators for debates in the tank for Biden—or whatever the D/S/Cs replace him with—before the cameras go live is just not sufficient.  Maybe they can find something–anything–in his taxes, or the taxes of his children, or maybe his sock or underwear drawer.  They also need “nonpartisan”—snicker, cough, choke–“fact liars” to make sure they get the last word, which will inevitably be “orange man bad,” and which will be a final, desperate attempt to salvage something of Joe Biden.  Unfortunately for them, they’ll likely have about as much luck as stewards rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

OK three proofs, though one is pretty much experiential: fact checkers, with very few exceptions, have proved themselves to be very much D/S/C propagandists.  The third proof, however, is pretty good, and has the very great advantage of being the truth, backed by fact.  Newsbusters reports:

Since early July, liberals on social media have been seen pumping out claims that the Trump campaign was selling “America First Tee” shirts that featured the ‘Imperial Eagle’ (an eagle holding a wreathed swastika), a common symbol in Nazi Germany. Even though images of an eagle holding something round was common imagery in American politics, the so-called fact-checkers over at USA Today put out a tweet Sunday that said they ruled the claim as ‘true.’

Showing a picture of the ‘Imperial Eagle’ next to on of the campaign shirt (an eagle holding a round American flag, the USA Today Twitter account declared: ‘The claim: Trump campaign shirts feature imperial eagle, a Nazi symbol. Our ruling: True.’

Wow.  President Trump’s campaign using an actual Nazi eagle symbol?  Talk about beginner political mistakes.  Who would do something that stupid…unless…Donald Trump really is a racist and white supremacist, and so is everyone that supports him?  D/S/Cs have known it, or pretended to, all along.  Facts that would prove those assertions are beside the point.  They want him to be a racist and white supremacist, and they just know anyone that supports him has to be, so they know the truth.

But over an hour and a half after their initial tweet, the paper had to issue this statement: ‘Clarification: The claim that Trump 2020 has put out a T-shirt with a symbol similar to a Nazi eagle and is being criticized for it is true. Worth noting, the eagle is a longtime US symbol, too.’

Translation: Their initial “fact check” was a complete and utter lie.  It was neither factual nor the truth.  Their “clarification” was a half-hearted, mealy-mouthed admission the only thing they said was true was various D/S/Cs are lying about the Trump Campaign using a Nazi eagle.  In other words they fact checked, and the fact that some liars are lying about the Trump Campaign is true; they’re definitely lying, and so is USA Today.

If you think the media has sunk to new lows with this one, we have until November 3, and far, far beyond, to go.  We ain’t seen nothin’ yet, and as Bill Murray said in Stripes: “that’s the fax, Jack!”
