Fortunately, gentle readers, most police officers are decent, hard working and honest men and women. Unfortunately, not all are, and some agencies are hopelessly corrupt. That’s why my book is valuable. It shows what happens when an entire agency goes rogue. It’s gripping reading, and all the more so because it’s true, and could happen to any one of us if we don’t keep close watch on those we pay to serve as police officers.

Comment on two of today’s funnies; Laurence Tribe has never been
known as a religious person. His only concern is that Ruth Buzzy
Ginsberg lasts until January 1 of next year in the hope that Trump loses
in 2020.
Re the coyote-runner cartoons were all based on a lie. A coyote
can outrun a roadrunner and to make matters worse, a roadrunner can
fly. My childhood has been dashed against a rock and I am the coyote!
The Far Side cartoons, which often had a science-based theme, got their share of razzes from the over-literal minded. One of my favorites was the criticism of the male mosquito coming home to his housewife from a hard day’s work biting people. ‘Only female mosquitoes bite!’ they kept complaining. Of course it was perfectly all right that the mosquitoes were wearing clothing, spoke English, etc. etc.
