If Donald Trump were accepting an Oscar these days, he would, in the best Sally Fieldian style, say “You hate me; you really hate me!” And speaking of hate, who is Rashida Tlaib? The Washington Examiner explains:
America’s newest and most anti-Semitic congresswoman, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., tweetedthat she was just ‘#unapologeticallyMe’ when she had a little public meltdown in calling to impeach President Trump Thursday. Yet when pressed by journalists on the Hill to comment on her late-night comments, she ran away from the reporters, relying on a staffer to shield her from the press and refusing to answer them.
And just what does being #unapologeticallyMe” entail?
Tlaib is primarily heralded as a #Resistance hero because she’s one of the two first Muslim women elected to Congress, which is a cool thing. She’s also the first member of Congress to call for a one-state solution and the eradication of Israel, effectively calling for the erasure of large swaths of Jewish history, tradition, and identity.
Actually, Tlaib bills herself as “Palestinian.” One would hope a Congressman would think of themself as an American, but for Democrats, that seem optional, and not at all hip.
Tlaib kicked off her first day on the job hanging out with Linda Sarsour and Amer Zahr. Sarsour, herself one of the anti-Semitic leaders of the Women’s March, is buddies with Louis Farrakhan, who has equated Jews to termites, and Rasmea Odeh, a terrorist and convicted Jew-killer with whom Sarsour once claimed she was ‘honored and privileged’ to share a stage. Zahr is a Hezbollah sympathizer who’s also friendly with Odeh.
A map in Tlaib’s congressional office [she just moved in] also featured a Post-It note pointing towards Cairo (intended to point to Israel) with the marker ‘Palestine,’ just in case you didn’t get the message.
Alegmeiner.com provides additional background:
Following her primary victory, Tlaib has lambasted Israel on a slew of topics. In the past few days alone, she’s called for US aid to Israel to be cut, expressed support for the BDS movement, and endorsed a one-state solution.
I spoke with Tlaib’s campaign manager, Steve Tobocman, ahead of the primaries, and he stated that Tlaib supports a two-state solution — which she has now contradicted. He also stated that Tlaib supported a foreign aid budget to Israel, another position that she changed after the primary election. Tobocman did not immediately respond to my request for clarification on Tlaib’s policies.
Yet Tlaib’s recent rhetoric and past actions are indicative of her genuine beliefs on the conflict.
Tlaib was a keynote speaker at one of Detroit’s largest BDS rallies in 2014, long before her Congressional bid. The rally drew tens of thousands chanting ‘Free Palestine’ while waving Palestinian flags. Also speaking at the event was Dawud Walid, who heads up the Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and once said, ‘Who are those that incur the wrath of Allah? They are the Jews, they are the Jews.’
Tlaib is also well acquainted with Linda Sarsour, notoriously recognized for her anti-Israel activities and as a supporter of Louis Farrakhan. During the campaign, Sarsour endorsed Tlaib, and their relationship dates back years — to the point where Sarsour described Tlaib as a mentor and role model, a disconcerting sign given Sarsour’s track record on Israel. Tlaib has also expressed sympathy for terrorist and murderer Rasmea Odeh on Twitter.
This is the quality of character expressed by the woman chosen by Michiganders to represent them.
Tlaib is just another dime-a-dozen Jew-hating, intolerant Muslim. The difference is she is now a US Congressman, whose quality of character was further defined by her near-terminal case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Fox News reports:
Tlaib, D-Mich., after penning an op-ed for The Detroit Free Press calling for Trump’s removal from office, tore into the president before an enthusiastic crowd Thursday night, in newly surfaced video.
‘People love you and you win,’ Tlaib said. ‘And when your son looks at you and says, ‘Momma, look you won. Bullies don’t win.’ And I said, ‘Baby, they don’t, because we’re gonna go in there and we’re gonna impeach the motherf—-r.
Tlaib said this during an address to Move On.org, a viciously anti-Trump, anti-America organization. She was raucously cheered. She also said:
And which “constitutional crisis” might this be? Mr. Trump has not claimed to have a pen and phone, nor has he used them as Barack Obama did. He has scrupulously upheld the Constitution, and is, piece by piece, restoring the rule of law. That is what upsets Tlaib and her leftist comrades. The Constitution is an unfortunate and outdated impediment to their desires. That’s their crisis.
Mr. Trump responded with far more restraint:
Only a few Democrats have actually said Tlaib’s obscene comment was wrong. Others danced around it, some saying it was “passionate.” One could also describe Palestinian’s desire for the genocide of Israel as passionate. One might also think that any Congressman or Senator that seeks the genocide of any people should not be in the House or Senate, or at large in society, for that matter. Apparently the folks in Michigan support her genocidal urges. Nancy Pelosi was slightly more circumspect:
We have to wait and see what happens with the Mueller report,’ Pelosi said on NBC’s ‘Today’ Thursday. ‘We shouldn’t be impeaching for a political reason, and we shouldn’t avoid impeachment for a political reason. We have to see.
They can’t beat him when it comes to a policy debate and they’re not going to beat him when it comes to 2020,” Sanders said on “Fox & Friends” Friday. “They have no solutions for America. People are sick and tired of playing politics. They want them to come to Washington and actually work with the president to get something done.’
She added: ‘[Americans] want these individuals to actually come to help the president, not to fight.
Americans also want their hired hands–the Congress–to behave like adults and to honor their oaths of office.
Tlaib is one of the new generation of Democrats, people who want to fundamentally transform America even more than Barack Obama did. But as much as they hate President Trump, they hate us more. They hate Donald Trump because they hate the normal Americans that elected him and postponed what they see as the inevitable socialist march of history. They mean to retake the reins of power, and when they do, they will do whatever is necessary to ensure they never again lose it. That’s when the fundamental transformation will really begin, and not in the way they imagine.
UPDATE, 01-05-18, 1740 CST: My friend bookworm also examined Tlaib, here. It’s certainly worth your time, and so is bookmarking her blog. I read it daily; so should you.
