Pundits willing to be remotely honest have credited President Trump’s rhetoric with causing the North Korean Regime to back down from its threat to fire multiple missiles at Guam. Mr. Trump certainly deserves substantial praise for actually sounding like an American president in commanding the most powerful military the world has ever seen. That’s not something Americans have heard for nearly nine years, so it’s probably a source of near-stupefying cognitive dissonance for the Media and the Left (yes, yes, I know: one in the same).
Yet even so, there is a danger, as Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) informed us in 2010, worrying about a Marine build-up on the island:
My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize.
No, he wasn’t kidding. He’s a congressman, so he must know things we don’t, particularly if those things are really stupid. The admiral testifying before Johnson in Congress dryly replied:
We don’t anticipate that.
At last glance, Guam remains above the waves. In any case, Duffelblog.com fills in the gaps, explaining that more than Mr. Trump’s rhetoric was involved–much more. Take the link and experience the horror that enveloped the North Koreans.
Mike I believe you should start a thread on the Charlottesville Police response to the rally , iIt is clear that the local or state officials decided to decide to take one side over another and try to deny the rally goers rights . They also misrepresented the rallys political orientation based on a small number of outliers
They also canceled the rally using the Hecklers veto , which i ‘m sure you understand the courts will probably slap them down since a previous judge had stated that the place could easily be protected in his opinion reinstating the rally
BLM ACLU and rally leader have all said they made it worse , the rally people believe they walked into a set up
Dear dmi60ex:
While I agree with your conclusions, I don’t see any solid way gain the factual evidence necessary to prove the point. The police surely didn’t fail to act without political cover, at the least, so they’ll stonewall, and at best, we’ll be able to say nothing more than a single article would say, decrying their malfeasance. Thanks for the thought though. If things change, I’ll pursue it.
