Well gentle readers, now I’ve gone and done it. I’ve been invited to participate in The Watcher’s Council, a group of some of the most interesting blogs out there. Not only will my association with these great folks increase readership of this scruffy little blog, it will give me the opportunity to be more widely read elsewhere. I never expect to make a living from this endeavor, but writers want people to read their writing. By all means, visit these sites/articles, and see what I mean.
Welcome to the Watcher’s Council, a blogging group consisting of some of the most incisive blogs in the ‘sphere, and the longest running group of its kind in existence. Every week, the members nominate two posts each, one written by themselves and one written by someone from outside the group for consideration by the whole Council. Then we vote on the best two posts, with the results appearing on Friday morning.
Council News:
This week, we introduce another fine member to the Watcher’s Council, Mike McDaniel of Stately McDaniel Manor! His stellar work has appeared at PJ Media, The Truth About Guns, and at Bearing Arms and we are both pleased and proud to have him on the team. Check out his debut Council article this week!

See what I mean, gentle readers? I’ve been following many of these blogs for years, including that of Bookworm, a woman I’m glad to count as a friend. We’ve often linked each other’s writings. I suspect that from now on, you’ll all have a few more “must read” sites on your daily illumination lists.
Impressive Mike! You are my favorite writer but I will read others you have suggested. Thanks for this post.
Dear Carol:
As always, you’re too kind.
Having found this site, with so much I read, how will I ever get anything done.
Dear Bill Cook:
Reading resets the mind, making it possible to do all else.
Congrats Mike! – will it buy you a cup of coffee ?
Dear Videodrone:
Well–that and a few bucks…
