An important issue from Jim Geraghty at National Review:

Appearing on ABC News This Week via telephone, Donald Trump scoffed at Hillary Clinton’s claim ISIS is ‘going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists.’

‘Knowing the Clintons and knowing Hillary, she made it up,’ Trump declared. Fact-checkers at PolitiFact, CNN and (gasp!) even Vox pointed out there is no evidence to support Hillary’s accusation.

(Trump should have mentioned the irony of Hillary Clinton now preemptively blaming future terror attacks on a video of an American doing something that enrages Muslims.)

But shortly after Trump described Clinton’s troubled relationship with the truth, Stephanopolous, the former top-level Clinton White House staffer and donor to the Clinton Foundation, challenged Trump, asking him if he wanted to go down that road, considering the number of times media fact-checkers disputed his assertions.

‘I’ll go down that road and people may call me out but they turn out to be wrong,’ Trump said.’

The ultimate problem with what Hillary Clinton said, apart from it being an unsupportable lie, is that it reveals a stunning lack of understanding of Islam, or a dangerously deadly willingness to ignore it. In this, she is merely following the lead of Barack Obama who continues to claim that the mere existence of Guantanamo Bay is a recruiting tool for terrorists.

Really? Another jail for terrorists, say in the middle of America, would be unobjectionable to them? Isn’t this a religion that seeks death and holds up those killed in Jihad as holy martyrs? And we’re to believe that a jihadist not killed, but imprisoned is a serious issue for other jihadists? A motivation for war?

Hillary Clinton and her former boss ignore the fact that Islamists want to kill us all because they are following the letter and spirit of their “religion of peace.” And are we really to believe we can’t do anything that might bother those that would murder us all? Our mere existence is all the motivation they need for war against us.

“We can’t imprison them, because they might get mad and more of them will want to kill us. Our politicians can’t say mean things about them because that might help them recruit even more people who want to cut off our children’s heads with dull, rusty knives.”

Mr. Obama’s and Hillary’s point is that we can’t fight our enemies because merely speaking about it will make them mad and make more of them fight us.

Sorry Hillary. The problem is not that we imprison some of them, or call them the barbarian murderers they are, speak the truth about their religion, or that some politicians might want to actually deny them entry to America, unlike you who wants to invite them in and give them every right and entitlement enjoyed by American citizens. The problem is that they want to murder us all. They consider it a religious obligation.

Perhaps before Mrs. Clinton resurrects her false Republican “war on women,” she ought to acquaint herself with the fate of women under Sharia. I don’t believe pantsuits are acceptable to Islamists. Come to think of it, neither are females in positions of power.

Perhaps we ought to worry about killing them before they kill us–oh, and not electing people that want to import as many of them as possible. Priorities, Hillary, priorities.
