Many aren’t aware that while the Republicans are holding 12 debates, most on weeknights, Democrats are holding only 6, most on Saturdays. Whether one thinks 12 too many as I do, is beside the point. Not a few pundits have suggested that the Democrat National Committee is holding those debates on Saturdays to help Hillary Clinton avoid public exposure. They don’t want the public to see what a horrible candidate, and horrible human being, she is. Judging by her performance on Saturday, 11-14-15, they have more than sufficient reason to be concerned. Oh, and the other two candidates are no better. Brietbart reports on Bernie Sanders. Keep in mind he said this while the bodies of the dead in Paris were (metaphorically) still warm:
In fact, climate change is directly related to the growth of terrorism,’ said Sanders.
‘And if we do not get our act together and listen to what the scientists say, you’re going to see counties all over the world…they’re going to be struggling over limited amounts of water, limited amounts of land to grow their crops, and you’re going to see all kinds of international conflict.
Sanders said at the second Democratic debate in Iowa that climate change poses the biggest threat to America’s national security and to security of the world.”
Fox News reports about the democrat candidate’s exquisite sensitivity to language. They really don’t want to offend medieval barbarians that would gladly saw off each of their heads with rusty, dull knives:
Hillary Clinton and the other Democratic presidential candidates are being criticized for declining to use the words ‘radical Islam’ during Saturday night’s debate, following the deadly terror attacks in Paris.
Clinton, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley declined to use the words after being asked during the CBS debate whether they would agree with GOP presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio saying, ‘We are at war with radical Islam.’
The front-running Clinton said using the term ‘radical Islam’ would be ‘painting with too broad a brush.’
She also said the term was ‘not particularly helpful.’
‘I don’t think we’re at war with Islam,’ continued Clinton, a former secretary of state. ‘I don’t think we’re at war with all Muslims. I think we’re at war with jihadists.’
However, Clinton said the world is indeed at war with ‘violent extremists’ and those who use religion for ‘power’ and ‘oppression.
And consider this from The Washington Post. This exchange is generally considered to be the most significant blathering from the debate:
Sanders attacks: ‘Let’s not be naive about it. Why, over her political career, has Wall Street been a major, THEmajor, campaign contributor to Hillary Clinton? You know, maybe they’re dumb and they don’t know what they’re going to get, but I don’t think so. … Why do they make millions of dollars of campaign contributions? They expect to get something! Everybody knows that!’
Clinton pulls out a rhetorical bazooka: ‘Wait a minute, he has basically used his answer to impugn my integrity. Let’s be frank here: … Not only do I have hundreds of thousands of donors, most of them small. And I’m very proud that for the first time a majority of my donors are women, 60 percent. So, I represented New York, and I represented New York on 9/11 when we were attacked. Where were we attacked? We were attacked in downtown Manhattan, where Wall Street is. I did spend a whole lot of time and effort helping them rebuild. That was good for New York. It was good for the economy and it was a way to rebuke the terrorists who had attacked our country.
What integrity, Hillary? Let me see if I have this straight: On 9-11, Hillary was the carpetbagging Senator from New York, and the attack took place in downtown Manhattan, “where Wall Street is.” And Hillary helped them rebuild, however she did that, and she spent “a whole lot of time and effort helping them rebuild.” So apparently her rebuilding was good for New York and the economy, and the assertion that Hillary was rebuilding Wall Street was “a way to rebuke the terrorists who had attacked our country.” Of course, they were all very dead, but I’m sure Hillary’s powerful, symbolic rebuke reached across the chasm separating life and death and they heard a very stern “I rebuke thee!” They probably heard that right after “what difference, at this point, does it make!” So because Hillary was such a diligent rebuilder of Wall Street, to say nothing of a dead terrorist rebuker, Wall Street gave Hillary millions, which, considering her building and rebuking, was not only reasonable, it was virtually mandatory! As Barack Obama repeatedly said, we should be thanking her!
Anyone can see that.
This, gentle readers, is the best Democrats can do in 2016. The most horrifying thing is, they very well may win:
