How often have you heard anti-liberty cracktivists smugly intone that if guns were taken away from the law-abiding, all gunshot deaths would cease? Such magical thinking ignores the indisputable fact that criminals would not allow themselves to be disarmed, and surely, any wholesale attempt to disarm the American public would result in some form of civil war.
That kind of unicorn and fairy dust thinking also ignores the fact that firearms are, by far, not the only deadly personal weapons available.
