For those not of a scientific bent, the headline refers to the Large Hadron Collider,  the largest and most powerful particle accelerator in the world, located near Geneva, Switzerland. America was scheduled to build the premier accelerator in the world in Texas, a device that would have greatly outclassed the European machine, but the project was cancelled by Congress in 1993.

Under Barack Obama, NASA has been turned into an agency whose primary mission is to make Muslims feel warm and happy about the scientific accomplishments of their ancient ancestors. This is necessary because in the modern era, most Muslim nations–particularly those of an Islamist temperament, can’t so much as manufacture a toaster.

Republicans are often identified as the stupid party. Any republican presidential candidate that does not run, at least in part, on making America scientifically great again–and that would include exposing global warming as the massive and criminal fraud that it is–is living up to that all too often accurate branding.
