My God, gentle readers, in electing Barack Obama, in taking a vacation from history and responsibility, what have we done? From Arutz Sheva:

In a development that has largely been missed by mainstream media, the Pentagon early last month quietly declassified a Department of Defense top-secret document detailing Israel’s nuclear program, a highly covert topic that Israel has never formally announced to avoid a regional nuclear arms race, and which the US until now has respected by remaining silent.

But by publishing the declassified document from 1987, the US reportedly breached the silent agreement to keep quiet on Israel’s nuclear powers for the first time ever, detailing the nuclear program in great depth.

The timing of the revelation is highly suspect, given that it came as tensions spiraled out of control between Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and US President Barack Obama ahead of Netanyahu’s March 3 address in Congress, in which he warned against the dangers of Iran’s nuclear program and how the deal being formed on that program leaves the Islamic regime with nuclear breakout capabilities.

Another highly suspicious aspect of the document is that while the Pentagon saw fit to declassify sections on Israel’s sensitive nuclear program, it kept sections on Italy, France, West Germany and other NATO countries classified, with those sections blocked out in the document.

The 386-page report entitled ‘Critical Technological Assessment in Israel and NATO Nations’ gives a detailed description of how Israel advanced its military technology and developed its nuclear infrastructure and research in the 1970s and 1980s.

Israel is ‘developing the kind of codes which will enable them to make hydrogen bombs. That is, codes which detail fission and fusion processes on a microscopic and macroscopic level,’ reveals the report, stating that in the 1980s Israelis were reaching the ability to create bombs considered a thousand times more powerful than atom bombs.

The revelation marks a first in which the US published in a document a description of how Israel attained hydrogen bombs.

And it’s even worse:

According to Tom Gross in the Weekly Standard column “In shocking breach, US declassifies document revealing some of Israel’s nuclear capabilities,” the Iranian and Russian outlets ‘were rumored to have been tipped off about this obscure report at the time by persons in Washington.

In other words, while the Obamites were working a nuclear deal with Iran that would give up the farm, they were also revealing Israeli nuclear secrets to the Iranians and Russians. Compare this with Prime Minister Netanyahu making a speech to the Congress after being invited by the Congress, and after notifying the White House, which has scarcely been reported.

Not only is this an astonishing and unprecedented betrayal of our ally, it actively encourages every regime in the Middle East with the money or technological capabilities to make or purchase nuclear weapons. True, all know Israel is a nuclear state, but this has not been a concern because it has always been understood that Israel is not belligerent and that the United States, due to its relationship with Israel, could constrain any potential belligerence. Now, Barack Obama is making it clear that all bets are off, not only because he’s going to allow the Iranians to build nucs, but because he is signaling that America has no relationship with Israel that would allow constraint. Not only is he pushing the Israelis into a corner, he is doing his best to give Israel’s enemies—and our enemies—information that could keep Israel from defending herself.

This is not the first instance of Barack Obama selling out the West’s nuclear secrets. Among the documents released in the Wikileaks debacle, was the revelation that Mr. Obama betrayed the British and released some of their nuclear secrets to Russia. That was apparently part of Mr. Obama’s vaunted “flexibility” toward Russia.

There are three possibilities: Barack Obama—the President of the United States—is reminiscent of a selfish, spoiled, angry third grader, who, feeling slighted, tells a friend’s secrets. Or, knowing full well the consequences of his actions, Barack Obama is betraying America and her allies in favor of an Islamist, apocalyptic death cult. Or, Barack Obama, acting in good will, actually believes what he is doing to be right.

The problem is, regardless of why Mr. Obama is behaving like this, the secrets he is giving away, the concessions he is making will cost innumerable lives and are already upsetting the balance of nations.

It wouldn’t hurt to remember that Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State when all of this was being discussed and done.

I doesn’t matter who takes the Oval Office in 2017. This kind of damage will take a generation to repair. Who among our allies in their right mind is going to trust America after the Age of Obama?

I fear that all too soon, we’ll be repeating the words of Winston Churchill in response to Chamberlain’s declaration of “peace in our time:”

You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor and you will have war.

God help us.
