Does the unalienable right to self-defense come from God or man, or is it some sort of “natural” right floating out there in the ether? It’s a consequential question, for the Second Amendment essentially hangs on it.

I make what may prove to be a vain attempt to answer that question at The Truth About Guns, in response to an article from Editor Dan Zimmerman’s earlier thread question that garnered more than 300 comments. I don’t know that my little missive, titled “Real Power and Choice” will generate that kind of buzz, but if you have a few minutes, you might drop in and see what you think.
