On this Thanksgiving Day, Americans have much for which to be thankful. Our national, spiritual decline is not yet a foregone conclusion. I hold out hope eternal that no matter how bad things get in the coming four years—and I fear they will be bad indeed—Americans will ultimately remain Americans and at some point, they will have had enough and will kick the bastards out, and not kindly. There is substantial historical evidence to support that view.
Disagree? Perhaps 15 minutes of your time will be well spent with a visit to Bill Whittle’s speech at David Horowitz’s Restoration Weekend earlier this month. You don’t know Bill Whittle? You need to know him. Let this—via Powerline–be your introduction.
You’ll feel better after. You can thank me later.
Thank you. That is the fifteen minute version of an hour presentation about a week after the election.
The hour presentation.
The thirty eight minute Q&A.
The real stuff is the version of an hour and a half on YouTube.
This is Bill Whittle starting this Idea. He started this on November 7, 2012. He actually started it sooner but the re-election of Obama caused him to bring up what he had been kicking around. The reason I know he started it sooner was because he registered the domain name before the election. :-)
All of it is really good, but my wife who told me that Obama was going to be re-elected listened to the fifteen minute stuff and got bored. Which means to me that what Bill Whittle has to say is only good for the ones ready for it.
