Most gun owners know that in the Heller and McDonald decisions, the Supreme Court affirmed that the Second Amendment does speak to an individual right and it’s a right the states must acknowledge as well.  However, the progressive minority of the court has an entirely different view, a view they would surely force upon Americans should they ever become the majority.

My latest article at Gun Values Board explores what would surely occur—and why–during a second Obama term if he was able to appoint enough justices to flip the balance.  It may be worth your time.

UPDATE:  As sometimes happens, events transpired to confirm what I’d already written far more quickly than I imagined.  Retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens has recently delivered precisely the kind of anti-freedom invective one might expect on the Second Amendment at an event with the Brady Center.  Another trip to Gun Values Board may also be worth your time.
