With women buying firearms in record numbers, I have been watching the news to see Progressive reaction to that encouraging trend. Among the most interesting comments has been that of a Colorado legislator who doesn’t think the little women should be allowed to carry guns, particularly not on the college campuses of Colorado, because they have no real idea when they’re in danger or about to be raped and if they carry guns, they’d just shoot up the landscape.
Thus do we see that Progressives care for the welfare of women primarily in the abstract, and only to the degree they can be exploited as a victim group for votes.

This Colorado Democrat sounds like he is afraid that one night he is going to be shot by a woman who won’t submit to rape. I’m just saying.
They can’t be trusted to know when they are in danger & when it’s the proper time to defend themselves, yet those same women should be allowed to be in a combat arms MOS in the military? Liberal “logic” never ceases to amaze me.
I resent an offensive patronising view that women are silly little things that have to be protected by knights in armor.

A woman is more likely to think things through. A man tends to think of a gun as a second penis.

I don’t recall if any of the bystanders that they shot were women.

I can see why a legislator has this opinion, though. If its a legitmate rape, the body has a way of shutting those kinds of things down.
